The role of Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)* is responsible for conducting information systems security engineer activities throughout the lifecycle.\n Position Overview\nLV8D Solutions is seeking an ISSE to capture and refine information protection requirements to ensure their integration into information systems acquisitions and information system development through purposeful security design or configuration.\nInterested candidates must be knowledgeable of best practices when implementing security controls including software engineering methodologies, security engineering methodologies, security engineering principles, and secure coding techniques and coordinate activities with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) stakeholders. Additionally, interested candidates need to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment; are highly motivated and not afraid to take on uncharted territory; possess strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills; and be able to prioritize their time to be effective in a dynamic environment.\nRequirements\n Key Responsibilities\nResponsible for conducting Information System (IS) security engineering activities throughout the system development/acquisition lifecycles.\nResponsible for capturing and refining information protection requirements to ensure their integration into IS acquisitions and IS development through purposeful security design or configuration.\nIntegrates security functional requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and deliverables using systems engineering principles and methodologies. \nCoordinates activities with A & A stake-holders and shall be knowledgeable of Analytics/Metrics tools to identify trends and patterns across the Enterprise.\n Required Qualifications\nKnowledge of and experience with ICD 503 and the Government’s certification and accreditation process\nProficient with networks, computer components, system protocols, and COTs technology \nKnowledge of system methodologies including: client/server, web hosting, web content servers, policy servers, directory servers, firewalls, WAN, MAN, LAN, switches, and routers\nExpertise in software integration of COTS and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products \nEducation relevant to computer engineering, information security, information management, and/or computer science\nExperience in technical project management\nTechnical experience in configuring and supporting, at minimum, Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS\nTechnical experience in configuring and supporting, at minimum, VMware, Xen, Hyper V\nTechnical experience in software engineering, program design and implementation, configuration management, system maintenance, integration testing, and information system engineering\nHigh school’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.\nCertification\nMust have one of the following IAT Level III Certification:\nCISSP\nCASP\nCISA\nGCED\nGCIH\n Security Requirements\nU.S. Citizenship\nActive Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance\nActive Counterintelligence (CI) or Full Scope (FS) Polygraph\n Work Environment\nOn-site work in a government or contractor facility \nOccasional travel (up to 10%) \n*This position is dependent on a contract seat being awarded.\n About LV8D Solutions\nLV8D Solutions is an elite Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) company that delivers advanced systems engineering, integration, acquisition, mission operations, network communications, and cybersecurity support to our defense and intelligence customers.
