Performs inspections, testing and preventative maintenance of electrical and other equipment. Provides other facility maintenance.\nJob Duties\nProvides maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components, including but not limited to wiring, lighting, nurse call, fire alarm, pneumatic tube, intercom, etc.\nTroubleshoots to identify hazards or malfunctions and repairs or replaces damaged parts and equipment.\nMaintains system integrity by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring, insulated cables, cleaning circuits; ensuring breaker and panel labeling, spare breakers in the \"off\" position, panels locked.\nPerforms testing and inspections and maintains records for emergency back-up systems as required by NFPA and The Joint Commission.\nPerforms preventive maintenance as needed.\nResponds to trouble calls, work requests, and emergency situations.\nPerforms minor maintenance of plumbing, mechanical equipment, HVAC, systems, structures and other general maintenance.\nAssists department colleagues of all trades.\nUtilizes the CMMS work order system and documents time and work completion in a timely manner.\nMaintains inventory and acquires parts as needed to perform repairs.\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma/GED with required years of experience or \nTechnical School Diploma in related field \n3 years experience as a commercial electrician or\nLess than 1 year with Technical School Diploma \nAbility to read mechanical drawings and blueprints \nAbility to determine causes of operating errors \nCritical thinking and problem-solving skills \nKnowledge of electrical systems, electrical codes, and safety regulations \nGeneral knowledge in electrical control, communication and power distribution systems \nDL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania \nPreferred Qualifications\n3 years electrical experience in a hospital setting \nPhysical Demands\nLift over 50 lbs.
