Serves as the primary contact for referring physicians requesting the services for continued patient care. Facilitates all patient transfers into and within the healthcare network by answering phones and initiating referrals and/or inpatient transfers from physicians and medical professionals.\nJob Duties\nMonitors and assesses bed availability to ensure timely placement and determines whom to accept and/or place in the appropriate accommodations. \nCollaborates with other departments for inpatient lateral transfers to ensure admission criteria are met, admit numbers are obtained prior to facility acceptance and transfer.
