Neuvera values collaboration, operational excellence, and a team-based approach to care.\nPosition Overview\nNeuvera Brain Health Institute is seeking a skilled and compassionate EEG Technician to join our growing neurology practice. The EEG Technician will be responsible for performing routine and specialized electroencephalography (EEG) studies, ensuring high-quality recordings, maintaining patient safety and comfort, and supporting our neurologists in the evaluation of patients with epilepsy and other neurological conditions.\nThe ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a patient-centered approach. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with neurologists and other clinical team members in a professional outpatient environment focused on high-quality neurological care.\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform routine and extended EEG studies in accordance with established clinical protocols.\nPrepare patients for EEG procedures, explain the examination process, and obtain appropriate patient cooperation.\nApply EEG electrodes accurately using the appropriate placement standards and maintain proper electrode integrity throughout the study.\nOperate and monitor EEG equipment and recording systems to obtain high-quality diagnostic recordings.\nRecognize and document relevant patient behaviors, clinical events, and seizure-like activity during EEG recordings.\nPerform activation procedures such as hyperventilation and photic stimulation when clinically appropriate and permitted by protocol.\nMonitor patients throughout the examination and promptly communicate significant clinical events or concerns to the supervising physician or clinical team.\nMaintain patient safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort throughout all procedures.\nReview recordings for technical quality and troubleshoot artifacts or equipment issues when necessary.\nPrepare and organize EEG data for physician interpretation.\nMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record and EEG system.\nClean, disinfect, and maintain EEG equipment and supplies according to infection-control procedures.\nEnsure EEG rooms and equipment are properly prepared between patients.\nFollow applicable clinical, safety, infection-control, and regulatory standards.\nCollaborate closely with neurologists, medical assistants, nurses, and administrative staff.\nSupport efficient clinic workflows and contribute to a positive patient experience.\nParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.\nQualifications & Skills\nCompletion of an accredited EEG or neurodiagnostic technology program preferred.\nRegistered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) credential through ABRET preferred or required based on experience and applicable practice requirements.\nCurrent BLS certification.\nPrevious experience performing EEG studies in a hospital, epilepsy center, neurology practice, or outpatient setting.\nKnowledge of EEG acquisition, electrode placement, common artifacts, and basic EEG terminology.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility to interact compassionately and professionally with patients and families.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.\nComfortable working with electronic medical records and computerized EEG systems.\nCommitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and high-quality clinical care.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with the following is highly desirable:\nExtended or ambulatory EEG\nEpilepsy monitoring\nEEG activation procedures\nPediatric or adult EEG, depending on practice needs\nSeizure recognition and event documentation\nDigital EEG systems and electronic medical records\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate is a technically skilled and dependable EEG Technician who takes pride in producing high-quality diagnostic studies while providing compassionate care to patients.
