(i.e. may not be familiar with conveyor systems but have worked on mechanical components in another job setting)\nPerform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all on-site Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including conveyor systems, sortation systems, scales, and related equipment.\nInspect, adjust, reset, repair, or replace mechanical components and wear parts, including belts, chains, cables, guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, and pulleys.\nTroubleshoot and maintain motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, and other electrical and mechanical components.\nDemonstrate working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, AC/DC electrical motors, and motor drives.\nClean, lubricate, and adjust equipment as needed to maintain safe and efficient operation.\nPreventative Maintenance (PM) and Electrical Systems\nTraining on how to properly execute PM’s will be provided as on-site training.\nPerform preventative maintenance on facility equipment in accordance with established job plans, procedures, and manufacturer manuals.\nMaintain and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems, including repairing or replacing electrical circuits and related components.\nUse appropriate diagnostic tools, including multimeters and infrared thermometers, to identify and resolve equipment issues.\nRead and interpret basic electrical and electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and symbols.\nPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, HVAC systems, air compressors and dryers, and balers.\nWork Order and Asset Management\nUtilize the computerized asset management system to create, update, and close work orders accurately and promptly.\nDocument all required work order information, including labor hours, equipment downtime, problem descriptions, root causes, corrective actions, and parts used.\nMaintain an adequate inventory of spare parts for MHE and other mechanical systems to support timely repairs and minimize equipment downtime.\nFacility Maintenance and General Repairs\nPerform routine office and warehouse facility repairs, including carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing work.\nEnsure all company tools are maintained in proper working condition, secured, and stored appropriately.\nMaintain a clean, safe, secure, and orderly work environment throughout the facility.\nSafety and Regulatory Compliance\nFollow all applicable OSHA requirements, company safety policies, and established maintenance procedures.\nUse appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with required safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work permits, and other applicable permit requirements.\nIdentify, report, and correct potential equipment and workplace safety hazards to help maintain a safe working environment.\nEnsure that all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with established safety standards and procedures.\nContractor Coordination and Cross-Functional Collaboration\nCoordinate with outside contractors to support routine preventative maintenance and emergency service calls.\nEnsure contractors follow facility security requirements, company policies, and applicable safe work practices while performing work on-site.\nDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with employees, management, and other departments across all levels of the organization.\nProvide maintenance support to other departments as needed to support overall distribution center operations.\nWork Schedule and Additional Responsibilities\n1-Sunday a month weekend schedule is required at overtime rate.\nSaturday work will be on a volunteer basis and only asked when needed by the business but will not be frequent.\nWork overtime as needed and participate in the on-call rotation to support equipment reliability and facility operations.\nPerform additional projects, duties, and responsibilities assigned to meet business and operational needs.\nSUPERVISION RECEIVED\nFacilities Supervisor\nSCHEDULE\nMonday-Friday, 4:00pm -12:30 am\n 5 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a Distribution Center setting.\nBasic knowledge of electrical motors and circuits\nHigh level of overall mechanical repair knowledge experience with conveyor systems preferred.\nExperience maintaining and troubleshooting MMEH and its peripherals.\nInventory management, equipment maintenance, data entry, and basic computer skills required.\nFamiliarity with experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) program and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) preferred.\nTime management and problem solving skills.\nAbility to communicate with all levels, and work both independently and as a member of a team.\nFlexibility with daily task assignments and ability to work overtime as needed.\nAbility to follow instructions quickly and accurately.\nDeals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.\nPreferred to have a forklift certification.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, lift regularly across an 8-hour shift.\n This job
