The success of the LVMH Beauty Division depends on finding the right balance between major historic Houses, such as Parfums Christian Dior, Parfums Givenchy, Acqua di Parma, Guerlain, and newer brands with strong potential like Kenzo Parfums, Fresh, and Make Up For Ever.\nLVMH Beauty invites you today to join its North America teams.\nLVMH Beauty is part of the LVMH Group.\n Brief overview of the role and its expectations.\nThis position ensures that all equipment is functioning at peak performance preventive maintenance measures are performed, and repairs are executed in a timely and efficient manner.\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMaintain and perform basic troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical aspects of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on site, including conveyor systems, sortation, and scale.\nDemonstrate mechanical proficiency for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and AC/DC electrical motors and drives.\nAdjust, reset, repair, or replace mechanical components (belts, chains, cables) and wear parts (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys)\nMaintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, etc.\nClean, lubricate, and adjust equipment when necessary. Use appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals when perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment (i.e. forklifts, conveyor system, HVAC, air compressors and dryers, and balers)\nPerform electrical maintenance and repair/replace of various electrical circuits and related electronic equipment, using tools such as multi-meters and infrared thermometers.\nRead and understand basic electrical and electronic schematics.\nUse computer asset management system to create and close work orders with appropriate data (labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, and parts used)\nDevelop and maintain positive working relationships across all depts. and levels of the organization. Follow appropriate safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Hot Permit etc.)\nEnsure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazard. familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols and electrical measuring / work order management.\nRoutine office and warehouse repairs (to include carpentry, painting, electrical and plumbing)\nMaintaining spare parts for Material Handling Equipment and other mechanical systems.\nEnsuring that all company tools are in working order and secured at all times.\nAdhering to OSHA requirements.\nMaintaining a clean, safe, secure, and orderly facility.\nWork with outside contractors regarding routine preventative maintenance and emergency service calls, ensure that security procedures and safe work practices are followed.\nAssist in other departments as needed.\nWeekend / off-shift work required to support maintenance of equipment off distribution operations hours.\nWork overtime as needed. Participate in on call\nCarry out additional projects/tasks as assigned and needed\nSUPERVISION RECEIVED\nFacilities Supervisor\nSCHEDULE\nMonday-Friday, 4:00pm -12:30 am\n 5 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in a Distribution Center setting.\nBasic knowledge of electrical motors and circuits\nHigh level of overall mechanical repair knowledge experience with conveyor systems preferred.\nExperience maintaining and troubleshooting MMEH and its peripherals.\nInventory management, equipment maintenance, data entry, and basic computer skills required.\nFamiliarity with experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) program and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) preferred.\nTime management and problem solving skills.\nAbility to communicate with all levels, and work both independently and as a member of a team.\nFlexibility with daily task assignments and ability to work overtime as needed.\nAbility to follow instructions quickly and accurately.\nDeals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.\nPreferred to have a forklift certification.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, lift regularly across an 8-hour shift.\n This job description is intended to cover the core accountabilities of the position and is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
