We are seeking a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Study Moderators (part-time) in the San Diego area to support our on-site data collection study. This role involves working closely with participants to ensure smooth study execution, accurate data handling, and participant engagement.

A key part of this role is creative recruiting - you’ll help identify and source participants from hard-to-reach demographics. This requires initiative, problem-solving, and the ability to think outside the box to meet study goals.

Key responsibilities & duties:

· Assist lead moderators during in-person data collection sessions

· Interact with participants in a professional and supportive manner

· Set up, use, and troubleshoot project-specific software and hardware

· Double-check and confirm accuracy of participant measurements and data entries

· Support and lead participant recruiting efforts, especially for underrepresented or difficult-to-reach demographic groups

· Communicate with participants via phone, email, and messaging platforms to confirm availability and study eligibility

· Maintain clean and organized workspaces and equipment

· Help document processes and flag issues related to data quality or participant logistics

Requirements

Qualifications:

· Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

· Demonstrated attention to detail in fast-paced environments

· Tech-savvy with solid working knowledge of computers, data entry, and digital tools

· Familiarity with spreadsheets, file naming, tracking

· Creative mindset for outreach and recruiting, including identifying new sourcing strategies

· Comfortable supporting physical tasks, including helping participants balance or assisting with measurement tools

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to follow protocols and adapt to changing processes

· Comfortable with occasional light physical contact in a professional, clinical-like setting

· Reliable and punctual with a team-first attitude

· Must be available to work on-site in La Jolla

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in participant-based research, market studies, or data collection

· Creativity and initiative in identifying and engaging hard-to-reach participant groups

· Background in recruiting, outreach, or similar front-line roles is a strong plus

Employment type: Part-time employment. The duration of the project is four months. The role will be contracted through our Employer of Record (EOR).
