Machine Setup Technician - 3rd Shift

Compensation: $22/Hr

Job Summary:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the safe,timelyand efficientchange of tooling relatedcomponentsfor amanufacturing productionline/machine changeover.Position is expected to support production in other wide-ranging areas including but not limited to overall line set up, machine operation, and adjustments throughout the production run.  

Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Ensure daily line die sets and tool changes are sufficient to meet production requirements. 
• Review schedules and requirements for each production line.
• Communicate with prior and incoming Team Leader/Shift Manager on schedule/die set changeover status and known priorities.
• Notify shift leadof unplanned downtime or risk of not meeting schedule/order requirements.
• Coordinate line changes/die sets at shift start-up and changes for maximum effectiveness.
• Change out dies and associated components as needed for line/machine changeovers.
• Machine set-up after die changeas needed.
• Production support as needed,including but not limited to; Gripper installand adjustment, material adjustment, staging of changeover components, and machine operation.  
• Die shop support as needed, including but not limited to; transport and staging oftools to and from die shop,and cleaning oftools.  
• Maintain all areas where equipment is being maintainedto 6S standards.
• Work on other shifts for training purposes upon request.
• Report any unsafe acts or conditions.
• Must be able to attain and maintain forklift certification  
• Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules
• Must be able to work extended hours when required
• All other duties as assigned 

Education, Experience, Skillsand AbilitiesRequiredfor Consideration as a Candidate:  

• High School, GEDor equivalent
• 3 years maintenance experience
• 1 year manufacturing experience- press experience strongly preferred
• Hydraulic trainingstrongly preferred
• Crane certificationstrongly preferred
