Improve profitability and efficiencies of Value Streams, through implementation of process improvements, affecting scrap, labor and downtime. Drive OEE improvement initiatives and cost savings through application of Lean and Six Sigma Manufacturing techniques such as 6S, SMED and Error-proofing.\nEstablish Tooling PM requirements \nParticipate in tool design reviews with project engineers and support product launches to ensure a smooth transition from design and launch phases into manufacturing. \nResponsible for equipment purchases as necessary including presenting justification for capital expenses on new equipment or process improvements, design and specification of equipment and standardization of equipment within manufacturing methods and safety requirements.\nSupport project engineering in developing new tool designs and manage new equipment process development, timing, budget, setup, debug and training.\nSupport APQP, DFMEA, PPAP activities as required.\nPrioritize tooling improvement and repairs.\nServe as an active participant in LSS programs that promote continuous improvement.\nMust adhere to all company policies and safety rules.\nMust be able to work extended hours when required.\nAll other duties as assigned \nEducation, Experience, Skillsand AbilitiesRequiredfor Consideration as a Candidate: \n4 yeartechnical degree (Tool and Die) or equivalent experience as a journeyman tool and die maker.\n3-5 years minimum experience in metal stamping.\nMust possessexceptional skill sets in the following areas: crashform, draw die, and progressive / transfer design and development.\nHands on roll in troubleshooting of various typesof die tooling.\nAble to critique die design concepts for both production worthiness and ease of maintainability.\nCritique advanced product designs for manufacturability.\nHands on roll in evaluating customer concerns and trouble-shooting.\nStrong Technical Experience with High Tonnage metal stamping presses (Mechanical and Hydraulic)\nExperience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment requiring multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize.\nWell versed in MS Office and CAD software and applications. \nEducation, Experience, Skillsand AbilitiesPreferred: \nSelf-starting; highly motivated \nInquisitive; inventive\nHigh technical aptitude\nCritical, analytical thinking\nData driven and fact baseddecision making capabilities \nI.
