You will build software and platforms to automate infrastructure platform operations and management. We leverage a variety of technologies to store, stream and manage data making it available to our internal customers.\nResponsibilities:\nMaintain and analyze metrics from; operating systems; control planes; and applications to assist in fault detection and performance enhancement\nDesign, develop and deploy tooling and systems that continually improve the reliability, scalability and efficiency of our platform\nBalance feature development speed and reliability with service-level objectives\nOperate and improve our Infrastructure using industry best practices and tools\nParticipate in design and production readiness reviews, platform management and capacity planning ceremonies with cross-functional teams\nDocument Infrastructure operations process and insights, identify repeatable actions and ruthlessly automate repetitive tasks\nParticipate in our teams on-call rotations, respond to incidents and support other teams mitigate customer impacting events\nExperience:\n5+ years experience working on teams responsible for software development, automation and systems engineering\nAbility to create production ready code in one or more high level languages, such as Golang, Python\nPrior experience with data streaming, storage and management, particularly DynamoDB, Kinesis, Kafka, SQS, S3, GraphQL, Flink, Hive\nExperience operating large scale infrastructure in public cloud environments, such as AWS\nPrior infra experience with infra tooling (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Chef, Puppet etc preferably in an AWS context) \nExperience identifying nascent problems, performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement and developing and executing plans to mitigate them\nBenefits:\nExtended health and dental coverage options, along with life insurance and disability benefits\nMental health benefits\nFamily building benefits\nChild care and pet benefits\nAccess to a Lyft funded Health Care Savings Account\nRRSP plan with company match to help save for your future\nIn addition to provincial observed holidays, salaried team members are covered under Lyft's flexible paid time off policy.
