The successful Operations Supervisor will use their leadership skills to direct the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner, while always keeping safety as the top priority.\n\nABOUT THIS POSITION: \n\nLOCATION: \nDelta, BC\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nEnsure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are followed and direct the activities of warehouse associates working in a GMP environment.\nTo schedule and allocate work to the hourly employees to ensure orders will be picked, packed and shipped in an efficient manner. This involves setting procedures to decide which orders to be dealt as a priority, which carrier to use, the time table for trucks coming in and out etc.\nIn the case of returns, ensures that they are checked and stocked in accordance with clients’ instructions.\nTo maintain employees’ attendance records. Makes sure the employment standards comply with the legislation, and conduct performance reviews.\nEnsure all staff are trained in their respective job functions, including GMP training.\nTrain employees. Whenever necessary, conduct personal counseling with employees and maintain disciplines.\nTo plan staff requirements to meet future operational needs. \nTo participate in improving the efficiency of the warehouse operations, i.e. reviews procedures, modifies equipment.\nTo oversee the housekeeping of the warehouse, i.e. safety, security, machine maintenance, layout, stocking, inventory control of warehouse materials etc.\nTo deal with unforeseen situations, i.e. requests for shipment of life saving drugs under emergency.\nOn call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for emergencies.\nRoles and responsibilities may change based on business needs.\n\nSKILLS REQUIRED:\nGood verbal communication with staff, giving clear and concise instructions. Ability to write clearly is an asset.\nGood labour relations skills to deal effectively with labour relations issues. \nPrevious conflict resolution experience. \nAbility to make decisions within well-defined standard practice and procedures.\nPrevious supervisory experience.\nStrong analytical skills to solve inventory discrepancies.\nStrong decision-making skills.\n\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\n\nMinimum Education Required:\nCollege or University degree in logistics, business, or related field.\nPreferred Experience: \n2 years of warehouse operations experience, ideally ina 3PL, supply chain logistics or warehouse environment.\n2+ years of supervisory experience. \nPrevious labour relations experience is an asset.\n\nWHY WORK FOR US? \n\nLynden’s mission and values guide us to support each other and the communities we serve.
