Lyntris brings together the talents of Accelint and Vitesse teams under one mission, with each contributing deep expertise within their domain. Combining differentiated hardware, software and mission expertise, Lyntris helps customers sense threats, make sense of complex conditions and act with greater speed, precision and confidence in contested environments.\nLyntris supports U.S. and allied defense organizations across every branch - including Navy, Army, Air Force, Space Force and allied partners - spanning strategic, operational and tactical missions and every domain: Space, Air, Land, Sea and Cyber. With more than 200 active defense programs, Lyntris works at every level of the mission, from national command authority to the tactical edge.\nSolutions are designed by operators who understand the mission, engineered for the conditions that degrade or defeat standard systems, and built on an open, modular architecture that integrates into existing programs without requiring them to start over. Lyntris moves faster than the traditional defense cycle - with integrated design, build and test capabilities in-house - and delivers systems that sustain and endure long after initial fielding.\nJob Description\nTest Engineer\nFull Time\nRemote\nThe Test Engineer plays a critical role in software validation by designing, executing, and assisting with the maintenance of test cases to ensure the system meets defined requirements, perform as intended, and is free of defects prior to deployments. This position is responsible for software verification and validation (V&V) activities, ensuring that enterprise systems meet functional performance, and compliance requirements - particularly for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The Test Engineer will support formal and informal testing while ensuring the collection of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to support system certification and accreditation. The ideal candidate brings at least 2 years of relevant experience in software testing, validation and test automation within complex IT enterprise systems such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or similar platforms in regulated settings - and possesses hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and execute test cases to validate system functionality, data integrity, and end-to-end business processes. \nMaintain and refine automated test scripts using approved automation tools (e.g., Eggplant, Selenium, Katalon, or equivalent automated testing tools). \nSupport end-to-end validation efforts across integrated systems, including PLM, ERP, and interface/data exchange processes. \nSupport in the coordination and completion of internal testing activities (e.g., smoke, system, functional and regression testing) to ensure timely development completion and quality devlivery of software. \nEnsure all testing activities produce appropriate OQE artifacts in support of DoD compliance requirements. \nIdentify, document, and track defects, working closely with development and functional teams to support resolution and retesting. \nAnalyze test results and provide clear, concise status updates and report to the Test Lead. \nEnsure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects to align with DoD validation requirements. \nAssist in building and expanding the regression test suite to support ongoing releases and system changes. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., QA, IT, business users) to ensure alignment of testing scope, data, and expected outcomes. \nContribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and quality. \nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field required; advanced degree, relevant internship experience, or equivalent hands-on industry experience may be considered in lieu of traditional qualifications. \n2+ years of experience with test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and tools (e.g., Selenium, Katalon, Eggplant, Python, XML, JSON). \nExperience with PLM platforms (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter, Enovia) or other enterprise systems. \nStrong working knowledge of test planning, execution, and documentation aligned with DoD standards. \nExperience producing OQE artifacts to support system certification/accreditation or acceptance reviews. \nProficient with tools such as Microsoft Office, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint. \nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively across technical and non-technical teams. \nCurrently holds an active U.S. national security clearance or be able to receive and maintain one.\nPreferred Qualifications (Not Required)\nFamiliarity with DoD or federal system development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and compliance requirements. \nKnowledge of DoD software documentation standards, including SDD, IDD, SDP, ICD, and CDRL requirements. \nUnderstanding of RMF, ATO, and Cybersecurity Testing/Validation (e.g., STIG compliance). \nExposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Model-Based Testing (MBT) practices. \nExperience in Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments, and use of tools like Zephyr, TestRail, or qTest. \nSecurity+ or other DoD 8570-compliant certification preferred. \nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. \nMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. \nThis position may require the ability to travel up to 5%.\nClearance Requirements\nSome positions will require access to U.S. National Security information.
