This position is a key member of the BLO Site Leadership Team and serves as the primary finance business partner to the Site Manager and site leadership.\nThe role plays a critical part in manufacturing decision support by providing financial insight, analysis, and recommendations that support safe, reliable, and profitable operations. The incumbent will lead one site finance professional and coordinate finance-related activities across multiple corporate functions to ensure effective business performance, compliance, and strong financial stewardship.\nThis position routinely interacts with Manufacturing Leadership, Segment Controllers, Supply Chain, Capital Administration, Inventory Accounting, and other Finance teams to drive performance and support strategic objectives. Based on operational and financial analysis, the role influences decision-making while helping the organization balance opportunity, risk, and resource allocation.\nA Day in the Life\nThis role serves as the key liaison between Manufacturing and Finance and requires close collaboration with site leadership as well as corporate finance and support functions.\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nServe as a member of the BLO Site Leadership Team, providing financial guidance and business insights to support operational and strategic decisions. \nLead the annual budget, performance planning, and long-range planning (LRP/asset strategy) processes for the site. \nCoordinate monthly forecast updates and communicate risks and opportunities to leadership. \nPrepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reviews for site and business leadership. \nProvide analysis and recommendations related to manufacturing costs, productivity, margin improvement, and profitability initiatives. \nSupport site capital management processes, including project justification, capital tracking, post-audits, and coordination with Capital Administration. \nEnsure compliance with internal control requirements, SOX standards, and company financial policies. \nPartner with Inventory Accounting, General Accounting, and Supply Chain to ensure accurate financial reporting and control execution. \nLead site cost analysis activities, including fixed and variable cost classification, benchmarking, productivity tracking, and variance analysis. \nProvide financial support for plant turnarounds, maintenance events, and major operational improvement initiatives. \nSupport working capital optimization efforts, including inventory management and cost reduction initiatives. \nCoordinate and support internal and external audits impacting the site. \nDevelop, coach, and lead one finance professional while fostering a high-performance culture. \nReview and Approve value enhancement initiatives. \nAct as the site's financial conscience by ensuring decisions appropriately balance operational needs, compliance requirements, and financial performance objectives. \nServe as a member of the Manufacturing Control Leadership Team, driving continuous improvement initiatives across sites. \nYou Bring This Value\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business discipline. \nMinimum 10 years of experience in financial, cost, operational, or manufacturing accounting roles. \nDemonstrated experience supporting manufacturing operations or industrial environments. \nStrong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and internal controls. \nExperience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools, preferably SAP and Business Warehouse. \nAbility to independently solve complex business issues with limited supervision. \nStrong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. \nProven ability to build effective working relationships across multiple organizational levels. \nDemonstrated experience influencing business decisions through financial analysis and business partnership. \nPreferred Qualifications\nCPA, CMA, MBA, or other advanced business certification. \nPrevious people leadership experience. \nExperience supporting capital project evaluation and manufacturing turnaround activities. \nStrong understanding of manufacturing performance drivers, operational excellence concepts, and productivity measurement. \nAbility to influence and challenge stakeholders appropriately while maintaining strong business partnerships. \nExperience working in matrix organizations and cross-functional teams. \nProven ability to coach, mentor, and develop finance talent. \nExperience presenting to senior leaders and facilitating business performance discussions. \nCompetencies\nDrive Innovation\nTechnical Skills\nGrow Capabilities\nPromote Inclusion\nMotivational Fit\nBuild Partnerships\nDeliver Results\nLearn more about our benefits: Benefits/Health & Welfare | LyondellBasell\nStay Connected!\nVisit our LYB Website\nFollow us on LinkedIn and Instagram\nLike us on Facebook\nSubscribe to our YouTube channelLyondellBasell is an equal opportunity employer.
