We're addressing the global challenges of ending plastic waste, taking climate action, and supporting a thriving society, while generating value for our customers, investors, and society.\nBASIC FUNCTION\nResponsible on the development of masterbatch products used in packaging, electronic appliances, consumer, agriculture, and industrial applications to fulfill customer requirements and generate business profitability.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES\nContributes to a safe work environment aligned with corporate standards and expectations to achieve Goal Zero target.\nSupport business growth by performing masterbatch development following Accolade stages gate process / regional procedure. Conduct all duties according to SOP’s.\nSupport product development and product localization and monitor scale up process.\nCarry out new product development projects, liaise with the extrusion lab team in case of any quality issue on the product to determine an action for solving the problem, perform analysis on samples from trial production.\nPerform benchmark analysis on competition sample, provide an analysis report, and deliver to ADTS.\nSupport formula recipe adjustment and modification.\nImprove margin or maximize value and procurement risk mitigation by carrying out new raw materials evaluation, register for new/ change material into DQP.\nSupport New Product Launch by providing supporting documents such as a provisional technical data sheet on experimental data of new products\nEnsure retained samples are kept in good condition and ensure cleanliness of the laboratory and equipment to maintain 5S at workplace.\nEnsure effective R&D record traceability and meet QMS requirement.\nAwareness of ISO 14001:2015 and the environmental policy, the significant environmental aspects and related actual or potential environmental impacts associated with the work. Contribute to the effectiveness of the implementation of the Environmental Management System, including the benefits of enhanced environmental performance.\nEDUCATION\nBachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or degree in polymer and material science.\nWORK EXPERIENCE\nMinimum 2 years working experiences in the related field is required for this position.\nSKILLS\nConflict resolution and negotiation; settle disputes, and resolve conflicts\nUnderstand the principle of analytical instruments and know how to operate the lab instruments.\nTechnical skills in knowledge of polymer/plastics extrusion, basic organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and flexible packaging application.\nHave a strong analytical thinking\nAbility to interpret analysis result, write routine correspondence effectively and to speak fluently with internal and external customers.\nAccountable, results-oriented, and self-motivated; open-minded to challenges\nAble to manage change and to meet commitments and deadlines\nCritical Competencies/Behaviors\nEnsures accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.\nDeliver results - Support the BU growth strategies by developing of new or modified differentiated products, applications, or processes to meet market or customer objectives, lower overall cost, or improve application performance\nCollaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives within and across functions.\nCultivates innovation - Creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful.
