This function is responsible for driving the process by ensuring that all work, including HSE, regulatory, quality, and reliability work, adds value and is prioritized, planned, and executed in the most cost-effective way.\nThis role works with the cost center manager to manage unit maintenance costs by tracking and forecasting monthly spending, approving discretionary spending, and approving any additions to authorized headcount.\nA Day in the Life\nPriority 1 and Priority 2 Jobs\nReviews call-outs and provides feedback and coaching as necessary to ensure optimal use of maintenance resources. \nValidates and documents scheduled break-ins.\nCreates and releases priority 1 orders during normal working hours. \nDirects notifications to the Material Coordinator based on planning criteria. \nInitiates necessary planning to ensure the safe and timely completion of critical jobs. \nCommunicates needs to the maintenance supervisor and scheduler and negotiates necessary schedule changes. \nMaintenance Requests and Notifications\nRedirects minor maintenance activities to production as time, tools, and materials are available to ensure optimal use of maintenance resources. \nReviews and manages the notification process by verifying the accuracy and completeness of job scopes; providing feedback when notifications are improperly entered or lack sufficient descriptions; ensuring the appropriate priority is assigned; confirming that requested work creates value relative to the current business environment; ensuring RCA is initiated where necessary; and ensuring the MOC process is followed when necessary. \nAssigns notifications to the Planning Priority list relative to the required completion date and participates in field reviews as necessary. \nReviews and provides direction to planning for jobs requiring RFCs, cost approvals, or changes in start dates due to material or service requirements. \nContinually reviews notification and work-order backlog to ensure jobs with the highest priority and those providing the most value are prioritized, planned, and executed in a timely manner so regulatory requirements are maintained and unit reliability is not jeopardized. \nEliminates duplicate notifications and provides appropriate feedback. \nEliminates non-value-added work notifications. \nEnsures all operations on an order are CNF'd. \nEnsures all necessary reliability data has been entered. \nPromptly closes (TECO) orders upon job completion. \nBacklog Management\nEnsures PMs are executed as scheduled or appropriate documentation is completed to support any exceptions. \nMaintains Routine Maintenance and Engineering backlog at an acceptable level. \nParticipates in Engineering backlog review and prioritization. \nProvides approval for expediting and overtime requirements to ensure jobs are completed in time to meet the needs of the process unit. \nMaintenance Scheduling and Cost Management\nProvides a prioritized list of NTBS jobs to the scheduler. \nReviews preliminary schedules to ensure they meet the needs of the process units and align with the maintenance budget. \nActs as liaison between operations and maintenance groups regarding problems adhering to the schedule. \nProvides schedule information to Production Supervisors for equipment preparation needs. \nRoutinely reviews current spending against the maintenance budget and notifies the Cost Center Manager of any expected overages. \nParticipates in identifying and implementing reliability-driven improvements. \nYou Bring This Value\nBachelors Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field, or equivelant work experience\nTypically a minimum of 5+ years of plant operations, engineering, or related technical experience.\nThe following measures will be tracked, and the position will be held accountable for results:\nMaintenance Costs \nPM Compliance \nSchedule Compliance, including safety, regulatory, PM, routine maintenance, and non-routine maintenance \nMaintenance Overtime \nThird-Party Costs \nBacklog \nKits in Warehouse \nNumber of Break-ins \nNotification Status \nWhat We Offer\nCompetencies\nBuild Partnerships\nDeliver Results\nDrive Innovation\nGrow Capabilities\nPromote Inclusion\nMotivational Fit\nTechnical Skills\nLearn more about our benefits: Benefits/Health & Welfare | LyondellBasell\nStay Connected!\nVisit our LYB Website\nFollow us on LinkedIn and Instagram\nLike us on Facebook\nSubscribe to our YouTube channelLyondellBasell is an equal opportunity employer.
