In this position, you will be tasked to apply technical expertise daily to insure the safe and reliable operation of site equipment and to reduce operating costs by executing assigned work according to plan and schedule, noting any job plan deviations, and providing input on improvement opportunities. You will participate in reliability teams to identify and implement reliability driven improvements and committees dealing with investigations, policy and procedure development.\nA Day in the Life\nAccountable for personal safety, the safety of co-workers and promoting a safe work environment; responsible for carrying out all work activities in compliance with federal and state environmental regulations. \nProvide technical expertise in the installation, acceptance testing, commissioning, pro-active maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of unit equipment including: \nTransformers, breakers and other power distribution equipment, motor starters, motors, etc.\nLevel instruments, flow and pressure instruments, control valves, PLC's and other process and machinery control systems.\nMaintenance to site process equipment \nExecute scheduled work by:Reviewing assigned job scopes for completeness and understanding.\nAcquiring all necessary parts, tools, and instructions prior to starting the job to maximize work efficiency.\nFollowing all necessary safety procedures and practices to isolate, clear, and work on plant equipment.\nEnsuring work is completed per company and industry standards.\nWorking with equipment owner to complete task in a safe and timely manner.\nUpdating supervisor on job progress and any problems encountered in completing the defined scope of work.\nCompleting all documentation using a computerized maintenance management system.\n\nRespond to tasks as directed by maintenance supervision with the appropriate sense of urgency to minimize impact to process units.\nIdentify and implement reliability driven improvements. This may include participation in site reliability teams.\nParticipate on committees dealing with investigations, policy and procedure development, and improving the work place environment.\nCandidate will also be required to mentor other maintenance technicians when necessary.\nEngage in frequent developmental dialog with supervisor and others to continually enhance personal and group performance and development.\nPromote an environment in which everyone is treated with respect. \nYou Bring This Value\nHigh School diploma or GED. \nMinimum 3 - 4 years in both instrument and electrical crafts in an industrial environment - Preferred. \nNCCER certification or an associate's degree from an accredited college or trade school or recognized - Preferred. \nWorking knowledge of all life critical procedures. \nAbility to perform all tasks required. Tasks will be final terminations inside lighting panels, SIS & DCS, loop checks and new MOC documentation; good working knowledge of our conduit/cable demolition procedure. \nUnderstanding of equipment design and application for various types of electrical and/or instrumentation: pressure, temperature, level and flow devices, transformers, motor starters, circuit breakers, control circuits, etc. \nFundamental understanding of specification sheets, loop diagrams, and P&ID's, is required.
