The primary functions of this position are to productively perform quality repairs on rotating equipment in assigned unit.\nA Day in the Life\nEnsures work activities are in compliance with HSE, production requirements, and quality requirements (per Maintenance Procedures and OEM requirements)\nPerforms skilled maintenance repairs of equipment and visually inspects and tests equipment for proper functionality\nEnsures reliable operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following procedures, diagrams, sketches, repair manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications\nDiagnose, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment to meet operational and quality requirements. May discuss machine operation variations with supervisors, other maintenance workers, or operations to diagnose problem and repair the equipment\nAssists Operations, as needed, to perform operational tasks\nLocates sources of problems by observing equipment in operation and uses senses and/or precision measuring and testing instruments\nDetects and repairs defective parts and/or materials\nDetermines changes in dimensional and/or process performance of parts/equipment through precision instrumentation\nRemoves defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools\nAssembles repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment\nMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations\nCompletes end of job documentation to communicate reliability improvement data as well as job package productivity improvements\nArea of Expertise, Requirements\nAbility to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals\nAbility to write routine reports and correspondences\nDesire to work in a team environment and contributes to team by accomplishing individual and team tasks\nWillingness to work across craft lines and multi-craft with other disciplines as needed to address Maintenance/equipment related issues\nWillingness to flex to other crews as needed to meet schedule requirements\nAbility to work flexible work hours, including overtime, call outs and shift as needed\nWillingness to rotate job assignments as well as perform other tasks as requested by supervision\nDesire for excellence and continual improvement as an individual and for the team\nDesire to safely perform essential job functions\nWillingness to be flexible with job responsibilities, learn new skills, take on challenges & seek information from others\nYou Bring This Value\nEducation and Work Experience\nHigh School Diploma (or equivalent)\nProven experience as a Maintenance Technician with knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods is preferred\nHigh pressure experience is preferred\nMinimum qualifications and experience to be one of the following:\no Degree through recognized Trade School, Certification (NCCER, NICET, NETA, ISA, Relevant Military) or Equivalent and 3 years’ relevant experience\no Or a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in discipline in Millwright\nLanguages English, additional language preferred\nOther skills\nComputer skills (i.e. typing, SAP knowledge, etc.)\nStrong analytical, problem solving and planning skills\nHigh personal motivation and ability to work independently and as a team\nAbility to troubleshoot equipment issues, independently or through a team process\nStrong oral and written communication skills to interact with peers and production personnel\nWhat We Offer\nLyondellBasell is proud to provide a competitive total compensation package designed to reward excellence and support the well-being of our employees.
