The Global Engineering & Turnaround organization oversees the preparation and execution of turnaround events globally. In this role, you will lead early preparation activities, staffing preparation and field execution for assigned turnaround events in Germany.\nDay in the Life:\nCoordinate planning and scheduling activities until T-6 with support from the EU Planning and Scheduling Manager.\nProvide leadership to enable the organization to achieve GoalZERO HSE performance.\nLead the development and implementation of turnaround execution strategies and best practices.\nLead and participate in constructability reviews and schedule optimization activities.\nDevelop staffing plans for the pre-turnaround and execution phases based on planned man-hour estimates and contractor requirements and input.\nLead training and onboarding activities for the execution team.\nBe accountable for all maintenance field activities related to the turnaround and associated capital projects.\nCommunicate effectively across all organizational levels to build support and remove obstacles.\nYou Bring This Value:\nBachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related technical field preferred or equivalent qualification.\nMinimum of 15 years of experience in a process plant or comparable environment required. \nAt least 10 years of turnaround and/or project experience and 5 years of management experience strongly preferred. \nConstruction management expertise, including detailed knowledge of craft and quality assurance practices. \nAbility to work with minimal supervision and manage people and multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. \nExceptional analytical, troubleshooting and continuous improvement skills. \nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and issues at all levels, from craft personnel to executive leadership. \nStrong leadership, mentoring and teamwork skills, including the ability to transfer technical expertise to less experienced turnaround professionals. \nAdministrative expertise and sound organizational skills. \nProficiency in Microsoft 365 and SAP; understanding of field execution for petrochemical turnarounds; knowledge of basic Primavera scheduling practices preferred. \nWillingness to travel approximately 20% within the EU and to accept short-term assignments outside the home area to support turnaround execution. \nIn the selection process, the LYB competencies listed below are used as a point of reference.\nBuild Partnership: Build and leverage networks with partners, customers and stakeholders.\nDeliver Results: Execute plans and tasks.\nDrive Innovation: Develop novel solutions and impactful improvements.\nGrow Capabilities: Creating a work environment in which all employees can flourish and reach their full potential.\nPromote Inclusion: Taking action to ensure that the skills and views of all people are valued and included.\nWhat We Offer:\nAttractive remuneration with thirteenth monthly salary\nGlobal bonus program\nVarious work schedules and mobile working\n30 days vacation and other time off options\nWide range of further training opportunities through the LYB University\nAdditional long-term care insurance (CareFlex)\nCompany pension scheme\nUrban Sports Club membership\nCompany medical department including physiotherapy practice on site \nCanteen on site\nEmployee discounts\nCompensation Disclosure:\nThe compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law.
