Summary / Basic Function\nThe Warehouse Leader is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily warehouse operations to ensure safe, efficient, and accurate handling of materials, inventory, and shipments, while leading and developing a high-performing team; this role drives operational excellence by coordinating receiving, storage, and distribution activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborating cross-functionally to meet customer service, cost, and productivity objectives.\nA Day in the Life\nOperational Leadership (40-50%)\nSupervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping\nAssign and monitor work to warehouse team members (5-10 associates)\nEnsure on-time material flow to production and on-time shipment to customers\nCoordinate closely with production, planning, and procurement.\nCoordinate with planners and suppliers to determine best allocation of orders for inbounds and storage.\nImplement continuous improvement actions to enhance productivity, quality, and cost performance.\nContinuous improvement of Warehouse Operation Program.\nOptimize operating costs, creating a competitive advantage that supports the plant’s strategy.\nHands-On Execution supporting Warehouse Operations Specialist (30-40%)\nPerform core warehouse tasks as needed\nStep in during peak periods, absences, or bottlenecks\nTroubleshoot operational issues in real time\nInventory Management (10-15%)\nMaintain high inventory accuracy (cycle counts, audits)\nInvestigate and resolve discrepancies\nEnsure proper material identification, labeling, and location control\nSupport ERP/WMS transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments)\nShipping & Receiving Coordination (10-15%)\nOversee and plan inbound and outbound scheduling\nEnsure proper documentation (BOLs, packing lists, shipping labels)\nCoordinate with carriers and resolve shipment issues\nEnforce compliance with shipping and safety regulations\nReview and analyze orders flagged as \"late - unknown\" from all the Altamira shipping locations in Mexico, reconciling these orders in conjunction with the account specialist and the inventory planner.\nAuthorities\nAssign and prioritize daily tasks and workloads for warehouse personnel.\nEnforce company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety regulations within the warehouse.\nStop operations when unsafe conditions or non-compliance with safety standards are detected.\nMonitor, evaluate, and provide feedback on employee performance and productivity.\nMake operational decisions related to inventory control, storage, and material flow to ensure efficiency.\nPlan, schedule, and adjust logistics activities within the assigned flow (Inbound or Outbound) according to operational requirements.\nAuthorize and execute rescheduling of logistics operations to ensure continuity of plant operations and customer service.\nInitiate inventory adjustments and escalate for approval according to the Delegation of Authority (DOA).\nAuthorize incidences.\nPosition Requirements\nMinimum Education Required\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.\nPreferred Education\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field.\nMinimum Technical Knowledge Required\nWarehousing and material handling.\nInventory management.\nLogistics of FTL / LTL / HT shipments.\nDomestic shipment documentation.\nWarehouse infrastructure knowledge.\nWarehouse management systems (WMS/ERP) such as SAP or similar.\nPreferred Technical Knowledge\nBulk truck and trailer shipments.\nRail operations experience.\nSAP WMS.\nMinimum Required Skills and Competencies\nKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015\nGenerate accurate and complete records.\nSafety and local regulations.\nBasic english speaker.\nPreferred Skills and Competencies\nKnowledge of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015.\nLegal and regulatory requirements.\nFluid english speaker.\nMinimum Required Experience\n5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations, with
