As a Project Engineer you will join our team and lead the implementation of client-facing technical projects across the New York City area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment, is comfortable working on-site with clients, and has a deep understanding of multi-tenant support, project execution, and modern IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and upgrading systems across a wide range of client environments. This includes servers, networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity solutions, and endpoint technologies.\nYour work as a Project Engineer has several components:\nFunction as a hands-on, technical element of client project delivery, including but not limited to:Client onboardings and offboardings\nNetwork installations and migrations\nWindows server-to-server or server-to-cloud migrations\nOffice builds and moves\nMDM/MAM + Conditional Access implementation\n\nCollaborate with project managers and account teams to provide regular updates and create and update documentation.\nFunction as an escalation point for resolution of project issues.\nTravel to client sites across NYC and surrounding area for installations, assessments, and hands-on technical work (estimated 50-75%).\nCommunicate clearly with clients, acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor.\nOur ideal Project Engineer has the following qualifications:\n3-5+ years IT MSP experience including a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on project engineering experience (mandatory).\nStrong experience implementing IT infrastructure projects from design through completion.\nProficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, AD, and common MSP toolsets (RMM, PSA).\nHands-on experience with firewall and network platforms (e.g., Meraki, FortiGate, SonicWALL, or Sophos), including configuration, troubleshooting, and network assessments\nHands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Intune, including Conditional Access policy and MDM/MAM enrollment configuration and troubleshooting\nExperience with server virtualization and migration (VMware, Hyper-V, physical-to-virtual and virtual-to-virtual migrations)\nAbility to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.\nExcellent written and verbal communication\nStrong aptitude for time and note entry within a PSA.\nUnderstanding of predictive and hybrid project methodologies, including roles, responsibilities, and work breakdown structure (WBS)\nLocated in or near New York City and able to comfortably travel to client sites as required\nPreferred requirements:\nRelevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, PMI).\nSpecific experience with: Microsoft Azure, 365, and SharePoint\nMeraki Networking\nWindows Server\nModern security principals - MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, MDM, MAM\nConnectWise PSA\nThe target salary for this role is $110,000-$120,000 per year and will operate in a hybrid model out of the New York City office.
