You will be responsible for the accounting activities of 5 legal entities across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, ensuring accurate, timely and reliable financial reporting and statutory compliance.\nYou will lead and develop the Accounting team across Berchem and Vottem, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, quality and continuous improvement. You will also play an important role in strengthening our internal control framework, harmonizing processes and driving further automation within Finance.\nYour responsibilities\nAccounting & Financial Reporting\nEnsure accurate, complete and timely accounting and financial reporting for allBenelux entities.\nCoordinate and oversee the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes in line with Group reporting timelines and requirements.\nEnsure the preparation, accuracy and timely filing of statutory financial statements, in cooperation with external auditors.\nEnsure compliance with local GAAP, applicable accounting legislation and Group accounting policies.\nOversee statutory reporting, VAT reporting, corporate tax requirements and other local financial compliance obligations.\nEnsure appropriate financial controls and reconciliations are in place to safeguard the quality and reliability of the financial accounts.\nAct as the key point of contact for internal and external audits and coordinate the timely follow-up of audit findings.\nPeople Leadership & Team Development\nLead, coach and further develop the Accounting team across Berchem and Vottem, including the AP Accountants based at the Vottem site.\nCreate a culture of collaboration, accountability, quality and continuous improvement.\nEnsure clear roles, responsibilities, processes and ways of working across the different teams and locations.\nSupport team members in their professional development and actively follow up on individual growth and development plans.\nBuild a strong and engaged Accounting team that combines operational excellence with a continuous improvement mindset.\nProcess Improvement, Internal Control & Transformation\nDrive the standardization, optimization and harmonization of accounting processes across the Benelux entities.\nStrengthen the internal control framework and ensure effective follow-up of financial compliance requirements.\nIdentify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual activities and improve the efficiency and quality of Finance operations.\nActively contribute to automation, digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives within Finance.\nRepresent Accounting in transformation and cross-functional projects, including system implementations, integrations (M&A) and organizational changes.\nPromote consistent use of systems, processes and accounting standards across entities and locations.\nStakeholder Management\nAct as a trusted sparring partner to the Directors and local management.\nWork closely with Controlling, Treasury, Marketing, Supply Chain, Group Finance and other teams.\nCollaborate effectively with stakeholders throughout the international Group.\nRepresent Accounting in cross-functional projects and ensure that accounting, compliance and internal control requirements are appropriately considered.\nTranslate Group Finance requirements into effective local processes and ensure alignment between local and Group stakeholders.\nWho are you?\nWe are looking for a finance professional who combines strong accounting expertise and accuracy with inspiring people leadership and a genuine drive for process improvement and transformation.\nYou hold a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.\nYou bring 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance, including proven experience in a people management role.\nYou have demonstrated the ability to lead, coach and develop a team, ideally across multiple locations.\nExperience with multi-entity accounting in an international or matrix organization is a strong asset.\nYou have a strong understanding of local GAAP and accounting requirements. Knowledge of IFRS is an asset.\nYou have good knowledge of VAT regulations, corporate income tax and statutory reporting requirements.\nYou have experience with process optimization, standardization and change or transformation projects.\nYou are familiar with SAP or a comparable ERP environment, or are able to quickly develop a strong understanding of the system.\nYou are analytical, accurate and process-driven, while maintaining a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.\nYou communicate fluently in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
