Testing\n\nPerform first-article inspections and in-process checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM to verify part conformance.\n\nRun coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs and validate measurement results for repeatability.\n\nCollect, log, and interpret dimensional data to support pass-fail decisions for production lots.\n\nLead root cause checks on non-conforming parts and recommend immediate containment actions.\n\nProcess Improvement & Documentation\n\nDevelop and maintain inspection plans, sampling procedures, and work instructions for common products.\n\nCreate clear inspection reports and update control plans when drawings or processes change.\n\nSuggest simple process changes to reduce rework and improve first-pass yield.\n\nSupport internal audits and help the team prepare for external quality assessments.\n\nCross-Functional Coordination\n\nWork closely with production, maintenance, and engineering to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.\n\nTrain operators on basic measurement techniques and inspection checkpoints.\n\nCoordinate with suppliers on incoming inspection findings and follow up on corrective actions.\n\nCommunicate quality trends and action items in regular shop-floor meetings.\n\nRequirements\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nDiploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.\n\nApproximately 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing quality role or equivalent shop-floor exposure.\n\nPrior exposure to machining, metal fabrication, or assembly environments is preferred.\n\nHard Skills & Knowledge\n\nPractical use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges.\n\nExperience programming or operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and basic metrology routines.\n\nFamiliarity with quality documentation, control plans, and basic statistical tools like SPC and measurement system analysis.\n\nKnowledge of Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering principles applied to manufacturing quality control.\n\nSoft Skills & Qualities\n\nClear communicator who can explain measurement findings to operators and engineers concisely.\n\nMethodical and detail-oriented, with a practical mindset for solving recurring shop-floor issues.\n\nWillingness to learn,
