This is supported by Data4NHS, providing one of the largest GDPR compliant email databases of Healthcare Professionals (HCP) in the UK.\n The role\nWe are looking for a talented Midweight to senior designer to join our creative studio, working across a broad range of healthcare and pharmaceutical communications.\nThe successful candidate will combine strong creative design skills with excellent production capability to cover both print and digital, taking projects from initial brief and concept development through to polished, accurate final execution.\nThis is not purely an artwork or production role. We are looking for someone with a strong visual eye who can contribute ideas while working confidently within the requirements of a regulated healthcare environment.\nWhat we are looking for\nCreative and design capability\nThe designer should:\nHave a strong portfolio demonstrating excellent typography, layout, composition, hierarchy and use of imagery.\nBe able to interpret a creative brief and develop compelling visual solutions rather than simply execute instructions.\nComfortable contributing ideas during creative development.\nBe able to work within established brand guidelines while still finding opportunities to elevate the creative.\nUnderstand how to create clear visual hierarchy when communicating complex or information-heavy content.\nBe confident presenting and explaining the rationale behind their design decisions.\nBe receptive to creative direction and able to develop work constructively following feedback.\n Healthcare experience\nWe are looking for someone with solid healthcare/pharmaceutical agency or studio experience who understands the demands of regulated communications.\nPrint design\nThe designer should be confident creating and developing materials such as:\nDetail aids and leave pieces.\nPatient and HCP leaflets.\nBrochures and educational materials.\nAdvertisements and advertorials.\nCongress and event materials.\nExhibition graphics, pull-up banners and large-format graphics.\nReference and formulary materials.\nCorporate and internal communications.\nThey should understand artwork fundamentals including print specifications, bleed, colour, image resolution, typography and preparation of files for production.\nDigital design\nThe role will also involve designing digital communications including:\nDisplay advertising and digital banners.\nEmail communications.\nLanding pages and content hubs.\nWebsite and webpage assets.\nDigital detail aids and interactive materials.\nSocial and campaign assets.\nThe designer does not need to be a developer but should understand digital design principles, responsive environments and the practical implications of handing designs over for HTML/development.\nTechnical skills\nStrong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly:\nInDesign\nXD\nIllustrator\nPhotoshop\nExperience with Figma or similar digital design/prototyping tools would be highly desirable.\nAn understanding of digital production, HTML capabilities and limitations is advantageous, although coding is not a requirement.\nPersonal attributes\nWe are looking for someone who is:\nCreative - brings ideas to life rather than simply waiting for instructions.\nVisually sophisticated - has a strong instinct for what makes design work.\nDetail-focused - accuracy is critical in healthcare communications.\nCurious - interested in understanding the brief, audience and purpose behind the work.\nCollaborative - comfortable working closely with designers, developers, copywriters, medical writers, project managers and account teams.\nPragmatic - understands the balance between creative ambition, budget, timings and regulatory requirements.\nAdaptable - comfortable moving between different brands, audiences, formats and types of work.\nOrganised - able to manage several projects and priorities in a fast-paced studio environment.\nAccountable - takes ownership of the quality and accuracy of their work.\nOpen to feedback - able to respond positively to creative direction and stakeholder comments.\nProactive - identifies potential issues and opportunities rather than simply executing what is requested.\nExperience level\nWe envisage this as a midweight/senior position, ideally with approximately 7+ years professional design experience, including meaningful experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical communications or a healthcare agency/studio environment.\nUltimately, we are looking for a designer who can raise the quality of the design work produced by the studio, not simply increase its production capacity.\n About M3 EU:\nM3 EU is at the forefront of healthcare innovation, offering digital solutions across healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and more.
