Depending on your experience and suitability, the role may include technical team leadership for our Android and iOS developers.\nStrong GitHub, GitHub Actions, and runner-management experience is essential. Practical experience with AI-assisted and agentic development is equally important.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport our Android and iOS developers with technical decisions, debugging, code reviews, and integration challenges.\n\nDevelop and maintain shared application logic using Kotlin Multiplatform.\n\nContribute to native Android and iOS development where platform-specific work is required.\n\nMaintain a clear architecture across mobile applications, backend services, APIs, and databases.\n\nDevelop and maintain backend functionality and server-side integrations.\n\nManage database changes, investigate data-related issues, and maintain reliable migration, backup, and recovery processes.\n\nBuild and improve CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.\n\nConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot GitHub runners, including self-hosted runners.\n\nImprove build reliability, automated testing, deployment processes, and development environments.\n\nManage server-side application deployments, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\n\nEstablish effective AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows across the team.\n\nReview AI-generated code and ensure that changes are tested, understandable, secure, and maintainable.\n\nHelp developers and junior team members use AI tools effectively through practical demonstrations and knowledge sharing.\n\nWhere appropriate, act as technical team lead: coordinate dependencies, guide implementation, review technical decisions, and help the team resolve blockers.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nDemonstrated senior-level experience in mobile software development.\n\nStrong Kotlin and Android development experience, together with practical Swift and iOS development experience.\n\nSolid hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform and integrating shared code into both mobile platforms.\n\nThe ability to investigate problems across mobile clients, APIs, backend services, databases, and infrastructure.\n\nPractical backend development experience and a sound understanding of API design, authentication, and application security.\n\nStrong SQL and relational database experience, including schema changes, migrations, and performance troubleshooting.\n\nHands-on DevOps experience with Linux servers, application deployment, configuration, and operational troubleshooting.\n\nExcellent Git and GitHub knowledge, including pull requests, code reviews, branch workflows, and repository configuration.\n\nStrong experience with GitHub Actions and configuring and maintaining GitHub runners.\n\nSubstantial experience using AI coding assistants and coding agents to deliver working software.\n\nThe ability to establish development workflows that combine coding agents, automated checks, and human review.\n\nClear communication, practical documentation skills, and a willingness to share knowledge.\n\nThe ability to work independently while supporting other developers constructively.\n\nInterest in a long-term, full-time position and availability to start promptly after an agreement is reached.\n\nEspecially Valuable Experience\nPrevious experience as a technical lead or senior engineer supporting a mobile development team.\n\nGPS, BLE, UWB, NFC, or other location and proximity technologies.\n\nTesting mobile applications on real devices and investigating platform-specific behavior.\n\nContainer-based application deployment and reproducible development environments.\n\nMonitoring, incident diagnosis, and maintaining reliable backend services.\n\nCoordinating changes that affect mobile applications, backend APIs, and database structures together.\n\nPotential Technical Team Lead ResponsibilitiesFor a suitable candidate, the role can include technical leadership of our Android and iOS developers.\nThis would involve helping the team make consistent technical decisions, breaking down implementation work, coordinating shared dependencies, and maintaining the quality of delivered changes.
