We want to move quickly, make sensible technical decisions, and build solutions that our team can understand, operate, and improve.\nWe are looking for an experienced engineer who wants to join at an early stage, take meaningful responsibility, and grow with the company.\nJob Description\nWe are seeking a Senior AI & Full-Stack Engineer who can develop applications across frontend and backend, integrate AI capabilities, and manage the Linux infrastructure, databases, and deployment processes supporting them.\nYou should be comfortable taking a project from an initial business requirement through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing operation. You will work across different products and internal initiatives, helping us choose practical solutions and deliver them efficiently.\nAlongside hands-on engineering, your responsibilities may include leading developers, mentoring less experienced colleagues, coordinating outsourced contributors, and reviewing externally delivered work. Previous team leadership and mentoring experience are therefore important.\nThis is an opportunity to help establish the engineering foundations of a growing startup and develop into a broader technical leadership position.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop and maintain web applications across frontend and backend.\nBuild AI-powered features, integrations, internal tools, and business automations.\nUse AI coding assistants and coding agents effectively, with appropriate testing and human review.\nTranslate business requirements into clear implementation tasks and verifiable acceptance criteria.\nDesign APIs, business logic, authentication, authorization, and third-party integrations.\nManage database schemas, migrations, query performance, backups, and recovery procedures.\nAdminister Linux servers, including application services, permissions, updates, networking, and troubleshooting.\nBuild and maintain Docker environments, including container networking, persistent storage, configuration, and health checks.\nManage DNS records, domain routing, TLS certificates, and reverse proxies.\nMaintain CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, and appropriate build agents or runners.\nCarry out deployments with migration checks, rollback procedures, and post-deployment verification.\nInvestigate production incidents and address their underlying causes.\nCoordinate outsourced developers and specialists, clarify requirements, review deliverables, and manage technical dependencies.\nMentor developers through code reviews, practical demonstrations, and constructive feedback.\nKeep implementation proportionate to the problem, controlling unnecessary complexity, infrastructure costs, and maintenance overhead.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nDemonstrated senior-level experience delivering and maintaining production web applications.\nStrong frontend development skills using a modern framework, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.\nStrong backend development experience, including secure APIs, integrations, validation, and error handling.\nPractical experience integrating AI or LLM capabilities into software, including checking output quality, handling failures, and managing latency and usage costs.\nSubstantial hands-on experience with AI coding assistants or agentic development workflows, with examples of working results you independently verified.\nStrong SQL and relational database experience, including migrations, indexing, performance analysis, and backup and recovery.\nHands-on Linux administration and Docker deployment experience.\nA working understanding of DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, firewalls, ports, and reverse proxies.\nPractical CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and familiarity with Azure DevOps repositories, pipelines, and build agents.\nStrong Git, pull-request, code-review, and release-management skills.\nPrevious experience leading a development team or coordinating technical delivery.\nProven mentoring experience and the ability to explain technical decisions clearly.\nExperience working with outsourced developers, contractors, or distributed teams.\nThe ability to work independently, prioritize competing needs, and make sound decisions with a limited startup budget.\nInterest in a long-term, full-time role with increasing responsibility.\n\nEspecially Valuable Experience\n\nBuilding products or engineering processes in an early-stage startup.\nTaking responsibility for several applications or services at the same time.\nEvaluating outsourced work for correctness, security, maintainability, and operational readiness.\nDeveloping AI agents, tool integrations, retrieval workflows, or reliable automation.\nOperating PostgreSQL and multi-service Docker environments.\nEstablishing deployment standards, monitoring, incident procedures, and practical documentation.\nHelping junior developers become more effective through structured mentoring.\n\nGrowth, Responsibility And Compensation\nJoining at this stage offers the opportunity to influence how we build software, organize delivery, and develop our engineering team.\nInitial compensation will reflect our startup budget, your experience, and the agreed scope of responsibility.
