As Constructability Review Specialist, you support the Design Manager and the Owner Authorized Representative during design and preconstruction, reviewing each project's scope, schedule, and construction documents before they go to bid.\nYou help define and review the scope of work and schedule in the Project Requirement Document, including interim housing requirements. Early in design you recommend value engineering, meaning changes that lower cost without reducing what the building is required to do. As the drawings progress, you review the design team's documents for inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors, and omissions, with the goal of reducing contractor requests for information and change orders during construction.\nYou make sure the documents are coordinated across the design disciplines and you prepare a comprehensive constructability review of the pre-bid construction documents, working collaboratively with the Design Manager and the Owner Authorized Representative.\nWhat You Will Own\nDefinition and review of the Project Requirement Document scope of work and schedule, including interim housing requirements\nValue engineering recommendations at the start of design\nWritten comments on design deliverables identifying inconsistencies, ambiguities, conflicts, errors, and omissions, to reduce RFIs and change orders\nCoordination of the construction documents across design disciplines\nComprehensive constructability review of pre-bid construction documents\nRequirements\nWhat You Bring (one of the following)\n15 years of full-time professional experience with a degree in architecture, including 10 years as a Construction Administrator on public or educational facility construction projects, fully responsible for supporting those projects, and 5 years as a Designer.
