Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.\nThe Commercial Manager will support the Commercial Lead in managing and negotiating complex third-party agreements across a major infrastructure programme. The role requires strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management skills, with responsibility for supporting negotiations, mitigating commercial risk, and ensuring agreements are aligned with programme objectives, governance requirements and regulatory obligations.\nWorking closely with commercial, legal, technical and delivery teams, you will help establish commercial frameworks, manage stakeholder relationships, and secure agreements that support successful programme delivery.\nYou’ll responsible for:\nSupporting the development and implementation of commercial strategies for third-party agreements.\nAssisting in the negotiation and execution of complex commercial agreements, ensuring value for money and effective risk allocation.\nDeveloping and assessing commercial models to support programme delivery objectives.\nProviding commercial advice on contractual terms, liabilities, indemnities and risk management.\nSupporting negotiations with external stakeholders, authorities, utility providers, landowners and other third parties.\nCollaborate with legal, technical and delivery teams to ensure commercial agreements are practical, compliant and aligned with programme requirements.\nManaging or supporting negotiations of contract variations, amendments and extensions.\nReviewing and challenging third-party cost estimates and commercial proposals to ensure fairness and value.\nMonitoring, assessing and managing commercial risks, opportunities and financial exposures associated with agreements.\nMaintaining governance, reporting and assurance processes to support informed decision making.\nEnsuring all commercial activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and internal controls.\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate successful project outcomes.\nProviding regular reporting on agreement progress, commercial commitments and key risk areas.\nSupporting the successful handover and implementation of commercial obligations across the wider programme team.\nOur values\nSafety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.\nClient focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.\nIntegrity - Always do the right thing: We influence positive outcomes within our industry, while always aligning with our compliance obligations.\nCreate opportunity - For our people to excel: We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.\nMace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
