This role will lead the strategic planning, implementation and stakeholder management for one of the largest transit infrastructure investments in Canadian history. You will be accountable for meeting programme objectives in line with regulatory frameworks, commercial best practice and operational performance.\nYou'll Be Responsible For:\nLead the coordination, delivery and strategic direction of a major infrastructure programme.\n\nDefine and implement the programme delivery environment across people, organisation, processes, information and technology.\n\nBuild and lead high-performing teams, appointing internal and external specialists where required.\n\nDrive performance improvement from the bid baseline through resource optimisation and continual review of systems and methodologies.\n\nAct as primary relationship owner for executive-level engagement and ensure programme governance is effective and efficient.\n\nLead client relationship management (CRM), communication and challenge.\n\nAct as the public face of the programme, including chairing executive steering groups and engaging with external stakeholders.\n\nEnsure excellence in safety, quality, cost, schedule, sustainability, governance and compliance.\n\nOversee programme documentation including plans, procedures, reports, registers and lessons learned.\n\nBuild an inclusive, high-performing team culture with strong emphasis on service excellence.\n\nEnsure robust risk management with clear actions and treatments.\n\nConnect wider Mace strategy to programme delivery, promoting initiatives and best practice.\n\nLeverage Mace’s Centres of Excellence and knowledge networks to support programme outcomes.\n\nEnsure commercially and ethically sound operations, meeting compliance and supporting business objectives.\n\nBuild and maintain strong client, contractor and consultancy relationships.\n\nProvide thought leadership in programme management and delivery.\n\nPromote Mace’s Safety First culture and support wellbeing across the team.\n\nContribute to net-zero ambitions by identifying and managing carbon impacts across delivery.\n\nYou’ll Need To Have:\nDemonstrable experience delivering major programmes in the Rail sector.\n\nAdvanced understanding of programme management, governance, controls and procedures.\n\nFull budgetary oversight experience (programme and fee budgets).\n\nAdvanced risk and opportunity management capability.\n\nStrong analytical skills across estimating, scheduling, procurement, contracts and financial controls.\n\nStrong contract literacy and performance management capability.\n\nExperience representing major programmes to external stakeholders.\n\nStrong understanding of HSE or equivalent regulatory frameworks.\n\nRelevant technical, leadership or management qualifications.\n\nEstablished network across clients, consultants and contractors.\n\nAdvanced knowledge of consultancy, construction, infrastructure and property sectors.\n\nTrack record of innovation and improved delivery methodologies.\n\nExperience in both consultancy and construction environments.\n\nInternational working experience.\n\nExtensive rail sector knowledge and networks.\n\nLeadership experience managing large teams.\n\nTertiary qualifications in project management, construction or related disciplines (or equivalent experience).\n\nAppropriate CSCS card or global equivalent.\n\nProfessional memberships: MAPM, MRICS, MICE, CIOB, APM, RICS, ICE.\n\nOur values\nSafety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.\nClient focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.\nIntegrity - Always do the right thing: We influence positive outcomes within our industry, while always aligning with our compliance obligations.\nCreate opportunity - For our people to excel: We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.\nMace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
