To learn more about our purpose, culture and priorities, visit our strategy site.\nWithin our business we harness our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project.\nThe Project: Serves as the single point of accountability for the entire Owner’s Representative engagement for a global pharmaceutical client, directing all workstream leads, governing scope and schedule, managing the client relationship, and owning overall delivery outcome.\nYou’ll Be Responsible For :\nManages PMO and Project Controls performance on their assigned commissions.\n\nCreates and designs effective implementation of PMO and Project Controls framework/strategy on assigned commissions.\n\nManages and directs Clients, consultants, contractors, project team on assigned commissions on all PMO and Project Controls matters.\n\nPartners with clients to meet expectations and build strong professional relationships.\n\nProvides expert advice to the Project team in the administration of the PMO and Project Controls process, with focus on cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting, to achieve key objectives and the escalation of performance and management issues.\n\nFacilitates and drives periodic reporting and structured governance and performance meetings.\n\nAccountable for developing and managing Baseline (scope, time, cost, risk, assumptions) and subsequent delivery performance, change and contingency monitoring.\n\nContributes to the development of Quantitively Analysis (cost and time).\n\nWorks alongside the PMO Director and/or Project Manager to recognise actions, recognise opportunities and mitigate risks and issues.\n\nCoordinates activities/operations to ensure they are carried out in line with Mace Control Centre, Client requirements and prevailing legislation.\n\nResponsible for line management a team of PMO and Project Controls team members to deliver on assigned commissions.\n\nProvides comprehensive technical expertise to mentor and assist the personal and career development of team members of the PMO and Project Controls team.\n\nManages the integration of Project Controls with PMO and Planning disciplines.\n\nWorks collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.\n\nYou’ll need to have\nProven experience in PMO and Project Controls leadership on complex construction projects.\n\nExperience setting up effective PMO and Project Controls services, including audit and assurance frameworks and strategies.\n\nComprehensive knowledge of risk tools, techniques, and software (e.g., MS Office, Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6, RiskHive).\n\nAbility to manage activities with significant uncertainty in outcomes or solutions.\n\nStrong domain expertise in PMO and Project Controls within sectors such as rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, or healthcare.\n\nExperience supporting the delivery of PMO and Project Controls services within the construction sector and/or management consultancy (or equivalent).\n\nDegree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).\n\nAPM Planning and Project Controls (PPC) Foundation and Practitioner certification (or equivalent).\n\nProgress towards Chartered status (or equivalent) and/or membership with a relevant professional institution (e.g., Association for Project Management).\n\nOur values\nSafety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.\nClient focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.\nIntegrity - Always do the right thing: We influence positive outcomes within our industry, while always aligning with our compliance obligations.\nCreate opportunity - For our people to excel: We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.\nMace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
