Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.\nThe opportunity:\nThe PMO risk lead is responsible for leading the PMO risk team in developing a risk reporting framework to comprehensively report on risks, including operational risks, strategic risks, and retained risks. The role holder provides leadership in risk and opportunity management throughout the delivery of AMP8 framework, ensuring that the risk and opportunity management processes are in place and complied with across the project. The role holder leads in ensuring a focus on the provision of timely and high-quality information, guidance, and provide specialist advice on risk management across the programme. The role holder ensures processes are continuously improved to be practical, embedded, and connected to all key stakeholders.\nYou’ll be responsible for:\nDeveloping and maintaining a comprehensive risk reporting framework, covering operational, strategic, and retained risks. \nManaging ensuring risk and opportunity management processes are implemented and adhered to across the project. \nProviding timely and high-quality information, guidance, and specialist advice on risk management to project stakeholders. \nMonitoring and report on risk factors throughout the project lifecycle, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies. \nFacilitating risk workshops and training sessions to enhance risk awareness and management practices among project team members. \nEnsuring compliance with safety and quality standards related to risk management. \nContinuously improve risk management processes to ensure they are practical, embedded, and connected to all key stakeholders. \nCollaborating with cross functional teams to ensure consistent application of risk management practices.\nUndertaking such tasks, activities or other duties as may be required or assigned.\nYou’ll need to have:\nMinimum degree (or equivalent) in relevant subject area e.g., project management, business administration etc.\nProfessional qualifications/memberships are desired in relevant subject area e.g., APM PMQ.\n10+ years’ experience in risk management in high value water projects or projects of a similar scale/complexity.\nTangible experience of designing and implementing risk management frameworks within a PMO function. \nKnowledge of risk management principles, methods, techniques, systems and toolkits.\nIn-depth understanding of the design and delivery requirements of technically complex projects in the architectural/engineering/construction sectors. \nExperience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and providing guidance to support project delivery and reporting.\nKnowledge of quality management and process improvement practices and systems is desirable, preferably within the construction sector.\nOur values\nSafety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.\nClient focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.\nIntegrity - Always do the right thing: We influence positive outcomes within our industry, while always aligning with our compliance obligations.\nCreate opportunity - For our people to excel: We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.\nMace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
