Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.\nSenior level building surveyor (MRICS) required to support in the delivery of consultancy services for an established team in the Southwest region (Bristol Office). You should be experienced in providing both professional and project delivery building surveying services working across a good breadth of sectors including Education, Healthcare, Retail, Leisure, Heritage and Corporate Real Estate sectors.\nOur service offering tends to focus on the following:\nProgrammes of survey instructions that include condition, planned preventative maintenance, dilapidations, investment due diligence and defect surveys.\nProgrammes of refurbishment and maintenance project delivery/management and contract administration commissions.\nSpecialist services to include party wall and bank/fund monitoring. \nYou’ll be responsible for:\nPreparing feasibility studies and recommendations.\nScoping, estimating and presenting reports.\nUndertaking surveys, design and specification services.\nRespecting and help delivering services in accordance with best practice (and all legislation) in relation to asbestos, health and safety etc.\nPreparing a timely and effective post contract administration and final account agreement.\nTaking personal responsibility for service delivery.\nInterfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.\nWorking with associate directors and directors to construct bids for new work.\nEnsuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the internal database.\nAssisting with new technology for data capture and reporting.\nWorking as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the consultancy business of Mace across all sectors.\nYou’ll need to have:\nPrevious building surveying experience in a consultancy or client environment\nTechnical knowledge and competency in building surveying.\nGood negotiation, presentation and report writing skills.\nStrong IT skills.\nA relevant degree is beneficial.\nProfessional membership i.e. MRICS (Essential).\nOur values\nSafety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.\nClient focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.\nIntegrity - Always do the right thing: We influence positive outcomes within our industry, while always aligning with our compliance obligations.\nCreate opportunity - For our people to excel: We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.\nMace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
