The programme will improve water resilience, upgrade critical infrastructure and support sustainable growth across the East of England, including major new assets and environmental improvements.\nThe opportunity\nWe are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join our growing project controls team, based on a hybrid role in Peterborough or London.\nYou will be responsible for developing, maintaining and assuring integrated schedules across complex infrastructure projects and programmes. Working closely with project controls, commercial, risk and delivery teams, you will provide robust planning and schedule insight to support informed decision-making and successful programme delivery.\nYou’ll be responsible for:\nDeveloping, maintaining and managing integrated project and programme schedules using Primavera P6.\nEstablishing schedule baselines, milestones, assumptions and dependencies across multiple projects and workstreams.\nUndertaking critical path analysis, schedule forecasting and scenario planning to identify risks and opportunities.\nMonitoring progress against agreed plans and providing clear schedule reporting and performance insight.\nWorking collaboratively with project, commercial, risk and delivery teams to manage interfaces and programme dependencies.\nFacilitating planning workshops to validate scope, sequencing, durations and key milestones.\nSupporting schedule assurance and governance through accurate and reliable planning information.\nYou’ll need to have:\nDegree or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction management, project management or a related discipline.\n\nMembership of a relevant professional body such as APM, PMI, ICE or CIOB, or working towards professional accreditation, would be advantageous.\n\nAdvanced working knowledge of Primavera P6, including developing and maintaining complex integrated programmes.\nStrong experience in baselining, critical path analysis, schedule logic, progress measurement and forecasting.\nExperience managing programme interfaces, dependencies, milestones and schedule change across major projects.\nGood understanding of Earned Value Management, schedule assurance and performance reporting.\nProven planning experience within major infrastructure, ideally water, utilities or another regulated environment.\nOur values\nSafety first - Going home safe and well: We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.\nClient focus - Deliver on our promise: We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.\nIntegrity - Always do the right thing: We influence positive outcomes within our industry, while always aligning with our compliance obligations.\nCreate opportunity - For our people to excel: We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.\nMace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
