A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history.\nOur values shape the way we consult, and define the people we want to join us on our journey, they are:\nSafety First - Going Home Safe and Well.\n\nClient Focus - Deliver on Our Promise.\n\nIntegrity - Always Do the Right Thing.\n\nCreate Opportunity - For Our People to Excel.\n\nYou’ll Be Responsible For:\nSupervise and coordinate daily field engineering operations, including layout, surveys, instrumentation, and alignment checks.\n\nInterpret and enforce contract drawings, specifications, and technical provisions; review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs.\n\nLead resolution of Nonconformance Reports (NCRs); verify corrective actions and update as-built records.\n\nCollaborate with Change Manager to evaluate field-level change requests, assess impacts on scope, cost, schedule, and regulatory commitments.\n\nConduct regular site inspections to confirm compliance with the Construction Environmental Control Plan (CECP), Safety and Security Management Plan (SSMP), and Quality Management Plan (QMP).\n\nCoordinate materials testing and inspection activities, witness field tests, and liaise with independent laboratories to validate results.\n\nOversee interface coordination on site-facilitate clash mitigation, schedule sequencing, and stakeholder communication.\n\nMentor and supervise field engineering staff, inspectors, and survey teams; ensure accurate documentation of daily logs, checklists, and field diaries.\n\nSupport commissioning and rail activation planning by verifying field readiness, system alignments, and testing protocols.\n\nDrive punch-list close-out: confirm completion of outstanding items, secure completion certificates, and finalize handover documentation\n\nYou’ll need to have\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.\n\n10+ years of field engineering or construction supervision experience on large-scale tunneling, rail, or heavy civil projects.\n\n5+ years in a senior resident engineer or equivalent role.\n\nDeep understanding of NEPA, FTA, FRA, Buy America, and other relevant regulatory requirements.\n\nProven expertise with PMIS platforms, BIM coordination, and field survey instruments.\n\nCertified Construction Manager (CCM) or NICET Level III/IV in relevant disciplines.\n\nOSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.\n\nStrong leadership and team management; ability to mentor junior staff.\n\nExcellent communication for interfacing with contractors, DP teams, GDC, and SEP.\n\nRigorous attention to detail in record-keeping, reporting, and quality assurance.\n\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/Navisworks clash detection, and scheduling tools (Primavera P6/MS Project).\n\nNote: The estimated starting salary for this position is $200k.
