This is a paid, in-person, 12-week internship. \nDepending on your background and team placement, you might work on:\nGuidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) - guidance algorithms, state estimation, trajectory planning, feedback control, and autonomy for unmanned platforms\n\nFlight & autonomy software - real-time software, flight control systems, autonomy stacks, and algorithms for next-generation vehicles\n\nEmbedded software - low-level firmware, device drivers, hardware interfaces, and real-time systems running on embedded platforms\n\nSimulation & modeling - high-fidelity simulations, digital twins, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and tools for developing and validating autonomous systems\n\nPerception & sensor fusion - processing data from cameras, IMUs, GPS, radar, and other sensors to enable reliable navigation and situational awareness\n\nTesting & validation - software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, automated testing, flight testing, and analyzing system performance under demanding conditions\n\nSystems integration - integrating software across flight computers, embedded hardware, sensors, actuators, and autonomous platforms\n\nEngineering tools & infrastructure - developer tools, simulation infrastructure, data pipelines, telemetry, CI/CD, and software that accelerates engineering velocity\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nEnrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in software engineering or a related engineering discipline\n\nIntellectual curiosity and the drive to own problems end-to-end\n\nGenuine interest in defense technology, national security, or the future of autonomous systems\n\nAbility to complete in an in-person 12-week internship in one of our offices in summer 2027\nAdditional Requirements\nAvailable to work extended hours and weekends as needed\nITAR Requirements\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
