GA. Experience with construction layout, architectural/structural plan interpretation, field engineering, and concrete construction is not necessary, but preferred. This role offers an opportunity to grow within the department. \nKey Responsibilities:\nSupport efficient project completion by assisting the Lead Field Engineer with daily field operations and data collection\nOperate and help maintain survey equipment, including total stations and data collectors\nSet up and break down survey instruments with care and concern to ensure proper calibration\nCollect and record field data accurately and efficiently\nMark points, stake locations, and assist with construction layout activities\nMaintain clear and organized field notes and documentation\nTransport equipment and materials to and from job sites\nAdhere to company safety policies and field procedures\nHelps to set up and maintain permanent control throughout the line and grade portion of the project.\nCompletes a layout accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner\nFollows instructions from Lead Field Engineer to insure the most safe and accurate construction environment\nMinimum qualifications:\nCandidates must have a high school diploma/GED\n0-2 years of experience in surveying preferred\nBasic understanding of surveying principles\nStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail\nAbility to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team\nMust possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record\nMust have dependable transportation\nPhysical requirements:\nMust be able to work outdoors in a variety of environments and weather conditions.\nMust be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds over uneven or rough ground.\nMay need to walk, stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods.\nMay need to clear vegetation, dig holes, and drive stakes using hand tools.\nMust be able to perform the physical tasks required to carry out the essential duties of the position safely and effectively.\nPreferred qualifications:\nOSHA 10 or OSHA 30\nWhy Join Lowe Engineers - A Part of MacKay?\nThe best of both organizations\nJoin a team with nearly 70 years of engineering excellence and trusted client relationships, backed by the resources, expertise, and opportunities of a growing national firm.\nA people-first culture\nAt MacKay, we put people first. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.\nUS Pay Range\n$20—$26 USD\nFull-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. We also offer 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match. Additionally, employees receive paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, and are able to participate in employee ownership options.
