Let’s talk.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPrepare site layouts and designs in support of municipal infrastructure projects.\nPerform engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions.\nEnsure project timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met in collaboration with project managers.\nCoordinate with internal teams, clients, and local agencies to ensure project requirements are met.\nReview and interpret survey reports, maps, and as-built drawings.\nAssist in the preparation of technical reports and cost estimates.\nStay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.\nTake on increasing responsibility for project coordination, planning, and communication while maintaining engineering excellence.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required.\nEIT Certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.\nDemonstrated proficiency with computer applications used in civil engineering, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace. \nExcellent computer, technical writing, communication, and customer service skills.\nEagerness to grow beyond core engineering responsibilities and develop expertise in project management.\nAbility to learn and adapt quickly.\nValid Drivers license.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n2-4 years of engineering experience.\nEIT certification with the ability and intent to obtain PE licensure. \nExposure to municipal and wastewater design standards and software.\nExperience performing construction inspections to verify compliance with approved plans and specifications, and preparing detailed on-site observation reports.\nWhy Join MacKay?\nA people-first culture\nAt MacKay, we put people first. If this sounds like you, we’d like to hear from you.\nSalaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations. \nThe wage range for this position depends on experience and placement into a Civil Engineer I - Civil Engineer IV title.\nUS Pay Range\n$35—$50 USD\nFull-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. We also offer 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match. Additionally, employees receive paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, and are able to participate in employee ownership options.
