This role is open to candidates who can be based out of any of the offices within the current MacKay footprint.\nKey Responsibilities:\nPerform traffic studies for site development/site impacts and for public transportation improvement projects, including:\nDetermining location/type and ordering traffic counts\nAdjustment of raw traffic count data\nCalculate future traffic growth factors\nPerform Trip Generation and Trip Distribution analysis\nPerform Capacity Analysis\nPrepare Traffic Study Reports, including Recommendations.\nPerforms crash data analysis and develops crash diagrams; develops and maintains the top accident location list, recommends solutions, and monitors results.\nPerforms traffic calming studies; recommends traffic calming solutions to management; ensures traffic calming devices follow applicable traffic control device regulations, standards, and specifications; presents traffic calming presentations as necessary.\nDevelops & reviews signal timing parameters for new installations; analyzes traffic count data; evaluates existing signal timings.\nPrepares or oversees the preparation of technical drawings, schematics, and installation plans for traffic control devices.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in civil or traffic engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of three years of recent experience in traffic or transportation engineering. \nRegistration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) \nExperience with traffic analysis software (HCS, Synchro, Sidra)\nExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience with CADD (MicroStation, AutoCad/Civil 3d)\nExperience with VISSIM.\nWhy Join Lowe Engineers - A Part of MacKay?\nThe best of both organizations\nJoin a team with nearly 70 years of engineering excellence and trusted client relationships, backed by the resources, expertise, and opportunities of a growing national firm.\nA people-first culture\nAt MacKay, we put people first. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.\nUS Pay Range\n$95,000—$120,000 USD\nFull-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. We also offer 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company's 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match. Additionally, employees receive paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, and are able to participate in employee ownership options.
