In addition, the Maintenance Technician inspects all interior and exterior lighting systems, maintains the plumbing of the facilities to include the toilets, sinks, pumps and water utilities.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)\nAssists the Facilities Maintenance Manager with the inspection and maintenance of the HVAC systems.\nProvide regular maintenance for the Kilns, Slipcast and RamPress, as well as troubleshoot issues as they arise.\nConduct maintenance on the interior and exterior lighting and electrical circuits as necessary.\nMaintain the plumbing of the facilities to include the toilets, sinks, pumps and water utilities, including the transfer of pumps.\n Assist with carpentry duties to include building a variety of items necessary to ensure a functioning Facilities Department.\nAssist with special events including the Barn Sale and Warehouse Sale including set up and breakdown, as well as assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure a smooth event.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities. \nQualifications\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma required\nVocational or Technical training preferred (HVAC, Construction, Plumbing)\nFive to eight years of experience required in a similar position\nThree to five years of intermediate electrical, plumbing and HVAC experience preferred\nSpecial Requirements:\nDriver’s License\nAbility to work evenings and weekends as needed\nLocation: Aurora, NY\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment with a focus on meeting deadlines.\nEquipment Used:\nComputer, Printer, Photocopier, Telephone, Scanner, Calculator, Hand tools, Power tools, Forklift, Pallet jack, Handheld Radio and Grinder\nComputer Software: Outlook, CMMS\nSafety: Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection, Gloves, Respirator\nPhysical and Mental Requirements:\nAbility to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.\n High mental and visual attention required for planning difficult work methods and sequences to obtain size, shape, or physical qualities of product.\nExerts in excess of 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.\nEnvironmental Conditions:\nThe worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions including temperature changes, noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, dust, garbage and moving mechanical parts.\nBenefits:\nCompetitive salary commensurate with experience\nComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage\n401K Retirement Savings + Company Match\nPaid Vacation, PTO and Holidays\nCompany sponsored life insurance and LTD\nHealth Savings Account + Company Match\nGenerous Employee Discount\nVerizon Discount\nReferral Bonus Program\nOpportunities for professional development and career advancement\nMacKenzie-Childs is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
