The ERP project is a pillar of enabling exemplary corporate services functions which will provide a backbone of support for the entire Hospital. These services play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources, to enable high quality care, and ensuring Mackenzie Health complies with ever-changing regulations. Corporate services transformation is at the forefront of the organization’s priorities to create a more agile, responsive, and efficient system.\nMackenzie Health is seeking an experienced individual to play a key lead role of the ERP project, focusing on providing leadership, guidance, and expertise on the implementation of the payroll (payroll, compensation, benefits, and pension) functionality of a new ERP system. As the Payroll Lead, you will play a pivotal role in streamlining operations and Payroll processing, while implementing and optimizing the payroll systems.\nThe successful candidate is a highly motivated individual who will play a critical role in the overall success of the ERP implementation, by ensuring existing and future payroll business needs are met and optimizing best practices. They will ensure that the payroll process and system continue to evolve and will enhance and maintain the ERP solution after go-live. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nImplementation\nProvides leadership and is an innovative thinker who, with the support of their project coordinator, assigns tasks, identifies, tracks, and removes blockers (risks, issues).\nEnsures sufficient resourcing is available to complete tasks. Escalates blockers as appropriate. \nGather and establish Payroll requirements and business needs via business process analysis and consultation.\nIdentifies and tracks assumptions, constraints, and ensures program methodology and standards are being adhered to. \nIdentifies tasks and assists in the creation, coordination, and execution of Program work plans/deliverables, revising as appropriate to meet the changing needs/requirements of the program.\nLeads their team, in conjunction with the vendor, for functional procedure identification and modification. Works collaboratively with the organization change management lead/analyst to identify change management needs and identifies change impact.\nSupports the ongoing decision-making and adherence to the program timelines.\nCreates and/or reviews and/or approves program deliverables. Ensures deliverables are high quality and aligned with program standards.\nResolves any issues related to deliverable completion and/or escalates appropriately.\nProvides updates to the Director ERP Implementation & Transformation and Committee Infrastructure regarding deliverable / task / sprint completion levels. \nThey are a Champion for Change.\nThey promote and educate their teams on best practice adoption, program methodology, program RACI, program governance, and program strategies. \nContinually seeks opportunities to increase stakeholder satisfaction and strengthen stakeholder and vendor relationships by:o Developing and promoting a collaborative working environment with staff through strong positive working relationships; ando Fostering and maintaining positive working relationships with vendors.Adopts a “one team” approach: o Works cross-functionally and collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure the program is successful. o Ensures that work is done collaboratively. Ensures workshops have appropriate team members and stakeholders.\nWorks with their team members and the Director ERP Implementation &\nTransformation to ensure deliverables are completed, KPIs are met, and communications are ongoing. \nTechnical Support: works together with the technical team to create functional/technical specifications, security profiles, etc.\nOCM Support: Works with the vendor and Organizational Change Management team for training development and delivery and other OCM tasks (as assigned). \nData Conversion Support: Works with the vendor and data team members. Leads their team to assist with assigned data conversion items which may include sourcing, mapping, cleansing, extracting etc. \nTesting Support: Executes testing and/or aids with testing as assigned.\nCreates/updates test scripts as assigned.\nProcurement Support: participates in any required procurement which may include RFPs, quotes etc.\nDevelops and implement short and long-term technology plans in collaboration with the human resources and finance teams to deliver the departments’ business goals and objectives.\nDevelops payroll business cases for new technology solutions.\nDemonstrates a commitment to efficiency and continuous improvement through innovation and best practices during and post-implementation. \nEstablishes goals and implementation plans to achieve high-quality deliverables within expected timeframes.\nMonitors progress, manage risks, and ensures key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.\nPost-Implementation\nMaintains/develops and delivers training, user guides, and facilitates communications to ensure end-user understanding of ERP for payroll functional and/or process areas. \nDevelops, updates, and/or maintains test scripts, manuals, and other materials related to the payroll area.\nProvide ongoing process and system support and guidance to the finance and human resources departments and system users post-implementation regarding the ERP system for payroll. This can include such things as maintenance activities and/or minor process enhancements and system enhancements, and/or projects.\nProactively monitors system tickets, issues, and processes to identify technology and process opportunities and challenges.\nAnalyzes, revises, and validates business processes and work procedures related to the optimal use of the payroll core system. \nCollaborate with IT and compliance teams to establish data governance standards and protocols.\nResponsible for the maintenance of payroll standards and controls to ensure data integrity and payroll functionality by resolving problems and recommending solutions to meet requirements.\nActs as a subject matter expert and monitors and validates master data, for applicable areas.\nActs as a subject matter expert for defined ERP functional and/or process area(s). \nAccountable for uninterrupted operation and scheduled maintenance of the payroll core functionality, including ensuring the resolution of incidents, requests, and problems.\nReceives, investigates, and resolves ERP system tickets for defined functional and/or process areas, which involves:\nConducting an analysis of the identified issue and/or problem;\nSearching for solutions within the ERP solution database;\nTroubleshooting issues and/or problems with affected stakeholder(s) and providing applicable solutions;\nEscalating service tickets, when required, to the applicable third-party vendor(s) and collaborating with the third-party vendor to resolve issues and/or problems;\nNotifying and providing affected stakeholder(s) with information and/or anticipated resolution timelines; and Documenting and addressing issues and/or problems.\nDevelop metrics related to system efficiency improvements, user satisfaction and process optimization.Coordinate release management activities of the payroll core system (e.g., Release management planning; evaluation & impact assessment; testing & deployment.) \nParticipates in the build, maintenance, and enhancement of reports from the ERP system for payroll. \nMonitors and interprets trends and best practices specific to Payroll and advises the Director, ERP Planning & Implementation on future development opportunities, the potential impact to the Mackenzie Health, and/or for decision-making/action planning purposes.\nConducts research;
