If you are looking to be challenged, valued, and rewarded with a competitive compensation package in a dynamic work environment, this position is for you!\nAbout the Position: This Machine Operator position involves handling raw material with an overhead crane, machine setup, and cutting parts with a number of metalworking machines This position requires the following proficiencies:\nRead and interpret drawings and layout parts as required to cut, burn or bend component parts to specification\n\nSet up and operate two or more of a number of metalworking machines such as; band saw, burn table or manual brake press\n\nMeasure final goods to ensure they conform to correct dimensions and/or other specifications on drawings\n\nOperate material handling devices such as; overhead crane, gantry crane, and forklift in compliance with applicable safety standards and best practices.\n\nMaterial handling includes safe rigging and transportation of various loads\n\nAdopt and practice good housekeeping, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing principles\n\nAbility to distinguish between various types of raw materials\n\nResponsible for organizing and maintaining raw material racking and storage area\n\nResponsible for safely organizing finished goods onto correct material handling carts\n\nIdentify opportunities for improvement\n\nAssist with the training of new Machine Operators\n\nAbide by all applicable regulatory and company-specific safety standards\n\nAbide by ISO 9001 Quality Management System and associated procedures\n\nContribute to continual improvement of safety, quality, product, production, work environment\n\nWilling to cross-train in other departments as needed on a temporary basis\n\nAbout You: The successful candidate(s) must be willing to learn, open-minded and flexible, organized and detail oriented, team oriented, disciplined, energetic, and must have a positive attitude, along with the following qualifications:\nPrevious experience working safely in a manufacturing environment operating equipment\n\nExperience operating a band saw or plasma-arc burn table is an asset\n\nExperience operating a laser table preferred\n\nForklift and overhead crane experience and certification is an asset.\n\nEager and willing to learn and progress.\n\nAbout Us:\nFounded in 1973 in Ontario, Canada, MacLean Engineering is the world’s largest Canadian-based manufacturer of underground mining equipment.
