Our co-op students are integrated into real engineering projects and gain valuable industry experience while contributing to critical operations.\nPosition Summary:\nAs a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op, you will work closely with our Engineering and Operations teams to support various improvement initiatives, process evaluations, and product development tasks. This rotation offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to engineering fundamentals applied in real-world settings.\nResponsibilities:\nAssist with the design, testing, and documentation of custom switchgear components\nSupport production and manufacturing engineering teams with process improvements\nConduct time studies and analyze workflow efficiency\nCollaborate with maintenance or quality teams to troubleshoot and improve machinery and equipment performance\nGather and analyze production data to identify areas for cost savings or efficiency gains\nParticipate in root cause analysis and help implement corrective actions\nCreate or update CAD drawings and engineering documentation\nHelp coordinate projects related to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives\nAttend and participate in team meetings, project briefings, and cross-functional workshops\nLearn and apply Lean manufacturing principles where applicable\nQualifications:\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)\nMinimum classification: Sophomore by Spring 2026\nGPA of 2.75 or higher preferred\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills\nWillingness to work on-site in a manufacturing environment\nAbility to commit to a traditional multi-term
