As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor who is responsible for supervising hourly employees in a manufacturing warehouse environment, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with regulations, and adherence to safety and quality standards.\nLocation: Onsite - Bessemer, Alabama\n\nWhat You’ll Do \nAssisting Inventory Control & Logistics Manager with hiring and training of new employees. \nScheduling and overseeing warehouse staff. \nConduct physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory as it is delivered. \nPrioritizing daily work for the team based on production needs. \nResolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. \nReplenishing stock and inventory as needed. \nEnsuring that all stock is stored in the correct location in the warehouse. \nScheduling material being picked for internal and external processes. \nCollaborating with the Inventory Control & Logistics Manager to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices. \nEnforce operating instructions and safety policies. \nPerforming other related duties assigned.\nWhat You’ll Need to Excel in This Role\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nMinimum of 5+ years of experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred. \n2+ years of Propane Forklift experience required.\nWorking knowledge of warehouse operations, policies, and procedures\nProven ability to lead, direct, and develop employees\nProficiency with data entry and inventory software and systems.\nExperience with personnel decisions including hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions\n\nCompetencies/Skills\nStrong computer skills in Excel, Word, MS Office suite\nStrong analytical skills with a high-level of attention to detail and business process\nStrong skills in developing and presenting performance metrics reports\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with others\nAbility to gather, analyze, and interpret data\nAbility to prepare and present comprehensive reports\nAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including preparing and presenting information\nAbility to work independently and be self-directed as needed\nWMS experience and knowledge preferred\nERP system knowledge (JD Edwards preferred)\n\nTotal Rewards Offering:\nMPS offers a competitive compensation package; including a bonus potential based on company performance and a dynamic work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and professional growth.
