The rolling equipment operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the equipment, and performing other warehouse functions that require the use of rolling equipment or material handling equipment.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nPicks carton and loose stock from back-up rack locations and applies proper labels and moves product to assigned staging area for replenishment and full case pick\nLoads cartons on conveyor and/or drop zone\nPlaces product in designated picking location\nLoads cartons onto full case induction line\nPlaces full pallet and partial pallet picks in designated areas\nInspects cartons for damage and corrects orders that are rejected at the manifest scale\nMaintains various quality control reports that monitor picking accuracy by picker\nRetrieves books from the rack storage area to complete the order\nEnsures that orders are complete and counts verified before loading trucks\nStages carton at dock locations for outgoing carriers\nInspects cartons for damage caused during internal handling\nEnsures cartons contain proper labeling, are securely packed, and proper documentation has been applied before shipping\nEnsures the accuracy of all shipping documents\nAssures the shipping counts match picking documents and bill of lading.\nAssists in resolving any discrepancies.\nAssists in loading and unloading trucks as required\nKeeps appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security are maintained.\nAssists in cycle counts.\nEnsures proper carton labels and pallet ID’s are generated and affixed.\nMaintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.\nConducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.\nCompletes certification as a rolling equipment operator.\nEnforces established safety, health, and housekeeping policies and procedures in order to minimize injuries, loss of production time, and damage\nConforms to all company policies and procedures (Employee Handbook)\nComplies with all environmental, health, and safety requirements\nHours of work: Sunday night - Thursday night from 9:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m., with mandatory overtime as needed.\nQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and/or Experience: \nHigh School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and six months to one years related rolling equipment (forklift) experience.\nReasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions, and deal with standardized structure.\nLanguage Skills: \nAbility to; read and comprehend picking orders, manifest, bill of lading, simple instructions, correspondences, and memos, write legibly, and effectively present information one-on-one and small groups situation of employees in the organization.\nMathematical Skills: \nAbility to; add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.\nOther skills and abilities: \nComputer skills to include basic keyboarding and working knowledge of WMS.\nPhysical Demands: \nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
