As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering scalable, high-quality software across the platform, contributing to areas such as semantic search, knowledge systems, and AI-assisted research workflows.\nYou will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end product capabilities, working across frontend, backend, and data layers. This role focuses on strong execution, technical ownership within defined areas, and close collaboration with Product, Design, and AI teams to deliver features that enable faster discovery, analysis, and decision-making.\nJob Responsibilities\nSystem Design and Development\nDesign and implement scalable, reliable fullstack solutions across frontend and backend systems\nOwn and deliver components and services within a defined product area\nContribute to architectural decisions within your domain, ensuring maintainability and performance\nEnsure code quality through testing, code reviews, and adherence to engineering standards\nProduct Delivery\nTranslate product requirements into well-structured technical solutions\nDeliver features end-to-end, from design through to production deployment\nBalance delivery speed with long-term system quality and sustainability\nIdentify and resolve technical risks, constraints, and dependencies\nAI-Enabled Product Development\nIntegrate AI capabilities into product workflows (e.g. search, insights, automation)\nCollaborate with AI Engineering to incorporate models, services, and pipelines into user-facing applications\nEnsure reliability, observability, and performance of AI-driven features in production\nContribute to evaluation and iteration of AI-powered capabilities\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape and refine solutions\nCollaborate with other engineers to ensure consistency across systems and services\nContribute to team delivery processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives\nSupport alignment across teams when working on shared systems or dependencies\nSystem Quality and Operations\nBuild and maintain robust APIs, services, and frontend applications\nEnsure systems are secure, observable, and performant in production\nMonitor, debug, and resolve production issues\nContribute to continuous improvement of development workflows, tooling, and infrastructure\nRequired Qualifications and Experience\nStrong experience building and delivering full stack applications in a production environment\nProven ability to design and implement scalable backend services and intuitive frontend interfaces\nProficiency in modern frontend frameworks and backend technologies (languages/frameworks vary by stack)\nExperience working with APIs, distributed systems, and data-intensive applications\nSolid understanding of system design, performance optimization, and reliability\nExperience integrating external services, including AI/ML capabilities, into applications\nStrong collaboration skills, with experience working closely with Product and Design\nAbility to work through ambiguity and independently drive technical solutions\nExperience working in fast-paced, iterative development environments\nWhat do we offer\nPrivate medical insurance, inclusive of dental, vision, and hearing \nLife insurance \nCompany pension scheme, with a strong employer contribution \nGym discounts\n25 days holiday per annum \n2 Macrobond days to use per annum for volunteering \nOur commitment to Diversity\nAt Macrobond, diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our culture and success.
