Those stories are part of what makes this such a special place to work.\nJob Overview\nThe Seasonal Costume Production Assistant prepares and distributes stock costumes, manages shipments, and supports the Costume Shop team with various tasks. This role involves assisting with event logistics, costume setup, delivery, and overseeing dressing areas during events. This role may begin part time, but will transition to full time as workload increases nearer to Thanksgiving.\nWhat You Will Do\nSupervise or assist in preparing large quantities of stock costumes for efficient distribution and collection\nAssist in preparing batch shipments of UPS packages\nSupport Costume Shop Managers and the Costume Director with tasks such as moving boxes, managing inventory, answering phones, running errands, office administration, laundering costume pieces, shop cleanup, and performing small sewing/repairs/craft projects\nAssist with load-in/load-out, setup, and strike for events, including handling laundry and costume delivery\nSupervise or assist with managing dressing areas on event dates\nFoster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities\nSkills You Will Need\nOrganizational Skills: Ability to manage and coordinate large quantities of costumes and shipments effectively\nInterpersonal Skills: Strong ability to work well with others and support team members, including handling various tasks and interacting with managers and directors\nEvent Logistics: Experience or capability in assisting with load-in/load-out, setup, and strike for events, as well as managing dressing areas\nBasic Administrative Skills: Proficiency in basic math, writing, and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\nSewing and Fabric Maintenance: Basic sewing/garment repair skills and knowledge of fabric cleaning and maintenance processes are preferred\nPhysical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or pull 40 lbs. or more multiple times a day\nAdaptability: Flexibility to adjust to various situations and work environments, including off-site locations\nTransportation: Reliable personal or public transportation to the Moonachie, NJ location is necessary\nWho You Are\nExperience in stage management, theatre, fashion show, event production, or dresser skills preferred\nThis position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands. \nInvolves standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 40 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders\nMay involve reaching above eye level\nRequires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment\nAble to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime, and Thanksgiving Day, based on department and company needs\nWhat We Can Offer You\nJoin a team where work is as rewarding as it is fun!
