As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping our distribution center operating at peak performance. You'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment, conveyor systems, industrial batteries, and facility infrastructure. You'll diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, perform routine inspections, and help prevent downtime before it happens. To reassure customers, they follow through with clarity and consistency, delivering on promises and making things right when expectations aren't met. \nThey know that excellence is shown by focusing on what matters most to the customer.\nWhat To Expect\nDiagnose equipment issues by observing, listening to, and testing operating machines to determine the need for adjustment, repair, or replacement.\nTroubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, including sorters, conveyors, industrial batteries, and related systems.\nPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components to help reduce downtime and keep operations moving.\nUse computerized maintenance systems to monitor, document, and report equipment usage, parts replacement, repairs, and maintenance activity.\nSupport facility maintenance needs, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, cleaning, lubrication, and corrosion prevention.\nHow You’ll Make an Impact\nKeep the operation running by quickly identifying equipment concerns, making repairs, and escalating issues that require vendor support.\nDismantle, inspect, repair, rebuild, replace, assemble, and test equipment parts to verify that malfunctions have been corrected.\nMaintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment to support safe, reliable performance.\nPerform routine repairs and rebuilds on equipment associated with automated warehouse operations, where applicable by location.\nInstall or recharge batteries for battery-powered material handling equipment as needed.\nMaintain a safe work environment by following maintenance safe work practices, reporting potential safety concerns, and keeping equipment and work areas clean and organized.\nFoster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and supports authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.\nSkills That Matter\nMust Have\nMinimum 2 years of direct maintenance experience, commercial or industrial maintenance-related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, customers, office staff, receiving teams, fleet maintenance administration, management, carriers, and drivers.\n\nAbility to read, understand, and interpret employment policies, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals in English.\n\nResourceful self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.\n\nProficiency with computers, handheld technology, and computerized maintenance management systems.\n\nAbility to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience troubleshooting sorters, conveyors, material handling systems, or automated warehouse equipment.\n\nWorking knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including basic electrical tasks such as replacing motors, fuses, and switches.\n\nKnowledge of safe operation and storage practices for ARC and MIG welding equipment, including OXY/ACETYLENE and PLASMA welding and cutting.\n\nPhysical Activities You Will Perform\nThis role involves performing essential job functions such as communication, collaboration, and use of office and computer systems. \nResponsibilities include the ability to access and review written and electronic information, and to move within the work environment and interact with workplace materials as needed to carry out job responsibilities.\nFrequently lift/move up to 10lbs.\nRequires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.\nWhat We Can Offer You\nJoin a team where work is as rewarding as it is fun!
