Choose the challenge that’s right for you!\nJob Overview\nThe Wave Planner is responsible for coordinating all activities with regards to the release and flow of orders throughout the Fulfillment Center. Perform other duties as assigned.\nEssential Functions\nFollow all the building guidelines in order to help maintain a safe work environment.\nExpertly uses WMS functionalities to maintain the proper workflow and balance through the outbound processes.\nEnsures that the FC has a sufficient amount of work for each of the outbound processing areas in order to meet SOT (Ship On Time) commitments, and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.\nSets priorities of all work queues and provides regular updates to area managers on progress rates throughout the facility.\nResearches cancelled pick tickets and works with the FC Inventory Control team to troubleshoot issues and ensure stock accuracy standards are maintained.\nEnsures that all cartons are processed through to “Shipped” status at the end of each days wave cycles.\nIdentifies training opportunities in the outbound processes.\nPractices open and continuous communication; values keeping others well informed; presents written and verbal ideas in easily understood ways; will be asked to conduct daily team meetings. Recognizes and celebrates individual and team performance with positive reinforcement. \nEnsures associates are working towards continuous improvement goals and objectives. Enlists associates to offer suggestions for process/culture improvement and champions their cause.\nRegular, dependable attendance and punctuality. \nQualifications and Competencies\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nFamiliarity with WM wave planning software is a plus\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nMust be able to:Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors\nAbility to read, understand and interpret employment policies, instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals in English\n\nBasic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division\nMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision\nResourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team\nMust be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology\nAbility to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays\nEssential Physical Requirements\nPosition requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department\nMay involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, depth perception and color vision\nFrequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipment\nFrequently lift/move up to 50lbs.\nSupply Chain Only and Colleagues Working in a Supply Chain Facility except in locations governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement:\nRandom drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, depending upon factors including but not limited to the size of the facility and the number of colleagues on roll. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing, absent extenuating circumstances.
