Maintains inventory control records and prepares related reports; serves as a lead over one or more assigned warehouse functions; trains and provides lead work direction and guidance to assigned staff and is responsible for accurately supervising warehouse’s operations.\nEssential Duties and responsibilities\nSupervises assigned team of warehouse personnel and delegates tasks to ensure proper and timely completion of assignments. \nSupports the Warehouse Supervisor in the planning and allocation of manpower.\nOversees and participates in the receiving, unloading and inspection of shipments for damage and conformity to purchase order specifications and packing slips; contacts supervisor regarding shortages, damaged goods or other discrepancies; completes receiving, discrepancy and follow-up reports.\nOversees and participates in the stocking of goods; plans storage location and determines proper location of supplies to allow maximum space utilization.\nFills, prioritizes and processes requisitions; pull, pack and ship items or goods according to established procedures.\nProvides information and resolves issues concerning requisitions, stock on hand, back orders and shipment discrepancies, damage or storage.\nOperates a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, turret trucks, pallet jacks and dollies; operates a computer and assigned software to input data and generate reports.\nMonitors accuracy and organization during unloading/inspection of all inbound goods/returned product.\nReports progress updates, key achievements and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor.\nMakes recommendations regarding proper storage, inventory and warehousing procedures and improvements in warehouse efficiency.\nCommunicates effectively both orally and in writing.\nEstablishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others. \nOperates a computer and assigned software.\nFull adherence to health and safety policy and procedures. \nAssists in employee training, development and engagement.\nMaintains high standards of security in the warehouse.\nPerforms related duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications\nProficient in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft OFFICE.\nHigh organizational skills and ability to multi-task.\nDirect experience executing inventory processes not limited to receiving, slotting, replenishment, order pulling and cycle counting.\nExperience with ERP System a plus.\nWMS Experience preferred.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.\nReliability and dependability to complete work assignments.\nAbility to work in a team environment.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. \nAbility to work well under stress with minimal supervision.\nReading, writing and math skills; ability to differentiate products with similar characteristics (size, color, style, etc.).\nPrevious working experience in a Warehouse environment required. \nRequirements\nForklift Operation Certification proof required; or must be able to pass forklift certification on-site.\nPrevious Lead Experience preferred (2+ years).\nMust have a valid driver’s license and a clean MVR. \nStrong attention to detail.\nGood organizational and time-management skills.\nGreat interpersonal and communication skills.\nAbility to communicate effectively using speech, vision (including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus) and hearing.\nAbility to interpret and understand product shipment information from various orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy through preparation of transportation documents. \nMust be able to work weekends and/or overtime if required.\nMust have reliable transportation.\nPhysical requirements\nGreat physical stamina and manual dexterity.\nAbility to lift, lower, or carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.\nAble to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.\nMust be able to stand for a prolonged period.\nRequires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.\nRequires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing and reaching (may require climbing of ladders for top-level selections)\nDirect reports\nMaterial Handling team, cycle counters, order pulling AND replenishment teams.\nOther duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
