Join us in shaping the future of retail and hospitality through intelligent, scalable solutions.\nAbout the Role: T his senior-level position offers an experienced accountant the opportunity to own core accounting operations - from the month-end close and general ledger to sales tax compliance, cash application, and account reconciliations - while partnering across the business on process improvements and finance projects.\nLocation: 5 days in-office, Tampa, FL, reporting to the CFO\nIn this role, you will:\nClose: Prepare, review, and post month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and recurring and adjusting entries, to support a timely and accurate close.\nReconcile: Maintain general ledger account work papers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, researching and resolving variances to ensure the integrity of the general ledger.\nComply: Prepare, file, and remit sales and use tax liabilities across applicable jurisdictions in accordance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.\nApply: Perform general cash application across both accounts receivable and accounts payable, accurately matching receipts and disbursements to open items.\nBalance: Perform cash and bank account reconciliations, promptly investigating and clearing reconciling items.\nSupport: Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules, intercompany transactions, and month-end balance sheet and income statement analysis.\nReport: Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and management reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, and support internal and external audit requests.\nDeliver: Lead and support ad hoc accounting and finance projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and cross-functional initiatives.\nWe are looking for someone who has:\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle month-end close.\nKnowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 842.\nThorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation.\nHands-on experience preparing journal entries, work papers, and supporting schedules.\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. \nExperience in payments technology or SaaS industry a must.\nExperience with high-volume transaction processing in a multi-entity environment.\nCPA or CPA candidate is a plus.\nExperience with sales and use tax filings and multi-state tax compliance.\nWorking knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash application processes.\nProficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite or Sage Intacct) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nOur core values:\nCustomer - WE believe that our customers deserve the best from us every day. \nAccountability - WE take ownership and make things happen.\nTeamwork - WE win as a team and have fun doing it. \nInnovation - WE innovate, inspire, ignite the future! \nIntegrity - WE are honest, ethical, and trustworthy. \nWhy Mad Mobile?\nMad Mobile is the #38 fastest-growing company in Florida and #9 on the Tampa Bay Times Top 100 Workplace List.
