The role focuses on defining product vision and roadmaps, managing and prioritising product backlogs, translating business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, and delivering solutions across payment gateways, merchant acquiring, transaction processing, authorisation, settlement, and payment integrations. The Product Owner will collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure successful product delivery, optimise merchant experiences, and align technical development with business objectives.\nResponsibilities\nDefine and manage product vision, strategy, and roadmap.\n\nOwn and prioritise the product backlog.\n\nTranslate business requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.\n\nCollaborate with development teams, architects, and business stakeholders.\n\nSupport Agile/Scrum processes and sprint planning.\n\nOversee the development of payment solutions and merchant services.\n\nReview and accept delivered features.\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve product performance and customer experience.\n\nRequirements\nMinimum 6 years of relevant professional experience\nStrong experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable product delivery role\nBanking domain expertise\nStrong Agile and Scrum knowledge\nExperience owning and prioritising product backlogs\nExperience writing user stories and acceptance criteria\nExperience gathering and analysing business requirements\nExperience defining product roadmaps and priorities\nExperience working directly with software development teams\nUnderstanding of software development processes and enterprise applications\nExperience managing business and technical stakeholders\nAbility to prioritise based on business value, customer impact and technical constraints\nExperience reviewing and accepting delivered functionality\nStrong communication and coordination skills\nGood English for international project work\nNice to have\nExperience with Visa, Mastercard or card payment ecosystems\nKnowledge of card transaction lifecycles\nUnderstanding of payment processing integrations and APIs\nExperience with high-volume transaction platforms\nExperience with payment security and regulatory requirements\nFamiliarity with PSD2, PCI DSS or Strong Customer Authentication\nExperience working on platform modernisation projects\nJira and Confluence\nExperience with distributed international
